The great thing about this game was all the horrible shots the Warriors took in the 4th. It's just awesome to watch these guys not feel guilty for jacking em up and playing wild ass basketball.
Gotta love Nellie for that.
Biedrins played Duncan really well after Biedrins got his 5th foul. Weird how he kind of backed off when Duncan went up for a shot, to make sure he doesn't get a phantom call against him. And it confused Duncan twice not to have any bodycontact I think.

What kind of pace did the spurts play against them? Looking at the box it was pretty slow-down early 19pts but then picked up considerablye ~34pts in the fourth.

The concern with the Spurs is the center position. Elson is collecting DNP's and Oberto has dropped off big time. I can understand Elson because for every good play he does he has 5 brainfarts and that has to drive Pop crazy. Oberto looked like his playoff form last year before doing a 180 and hasn't played very many minutes lately. Not sure starting Horry to get him in game shape is the way to go but Pop probably knows a bit more than me.
And Pop has thrown out some crazy lineups during the strangest times. I know they've had injuries but a lineup of Vaughn, Udoka, Bowen, Finley, Oberto isn't going to produce much scoring. If I didn't know better he was doing the experimenting that AJ was doing not so long ago.

About that earlier game....... how I'd love to have Nene on the Mavs. If only denver failed miserably and had a fire sale.

Pop has got to be the most overrated coach in professional sports. Meanwhile, the Mavs have won four in a row... they better watch out because the Spurs might come after Avery. I also think that Nellie has gotten inside Bowen's head. It's obvious to me anyway. In fact, Bowen might be permanently damaged psychologically. The Spurs better hope they don't face the Warriors in the first round of the playoffs. If so, they're toast.

So Kevin Durant is the latest victim of the "put-your-foot-under-the-shooter-and-try-to-end-their-career" defense.

LA is looking good so far but not sure they could knock of the Spurs, Dallas, or Suns for a championship.
Who would have thought Charlotte would be the team to beat Boston?
My poor Warriors getting a beat down by the Blazers who continue to impress me.

Hey, the rockets won!
oh nevermind... it was against the knicks.
I watched the blazer/warriors buttwhoopin for the most part. The Warriors look so terrible (and so terribly coached) when the shots aren't falling.

So how long is ESPN.COM going to keep that picture of bron-born and kobe on the front page? Good grief, it's been almost a week now. I'm not sure I've ever seen that on the internets.

the spurs/pops ALWAYS fart around with their line-ups and schemes this time of the year. ALWAYS.
And then they tighten things up as the season progresses....

Blazers look so good they should probably trade Oden because when he comes back he might screw up the team chemistry.

I just checked and Ager for Oden works.
J/k.
BTW, Joe Pryzbilla is fool's gold. He can get all the blocks he wants, but he has so many defensive breakdowns that if you just plug in Oden, who probably blocks just as many shots, then you've just made a huge upgrade.

This is a tough one. I would have to think long and hard about it. Ok, let's do it.

Spurs signed Jeremy Richardson today. He was in a workout in December along with Keith Langford, DerMarr Johnson, Marcus Williams, and some other guys and had the best workout of the group. However, Memphis beat them by signing him first but waived him the other day.
Not sure what the Spurs are doing with all these signings and then waiving them a few days later. Especially this one. Ginobli is back and Barry should return within a week or so.

Interesting defense that the pistions were using against tp and the spurts. Instead of trying to stay with tp on the duncan p&r, the defender just backed right into duncan before he could even set the pick.
If TP had a 3pt shot they would just give it to him, which he wouldn't take. It allowed the defender to not get picked off at all while duncan was being double-teamed.
Haven't noticed that before, pretty interesting.

Rasheed is really talented by he makes some bonehead decisions..
Pistons are playing a little more one on one ball now and looking tired.

Detroit doesn't have the legs for that.
Sheed seems to almost always WAIT for the double-team before taking his shot. The spurs are going to give him 3s all night long.

Do the pistons know how to push the ball up the court at all?
This is frustrating watching them give it away to a spurs team that's not playing very well.
edit: They finally started moving the ball. Go Pistons. Beat those spuuuuuurs.

Nash left last nights game with the stomach flu. Marion has a bad shoulder but I didn't know he was going to miss tonights game. Hill out with the apendectomy (sp).
Spurs looked awful tonight. No way you can win when two of the big 3 play like crap and no help from the bench. They usually get their acts together but it's hard to imagine it this year.
