Listening to the end of this Texans-Titans game just reminds me that this world needs more Gus Johnson.

An Arizona win against Minnesota would be nice for us. Unfortunately, Minnesota is jumping all over them in the early going already running out a 14-0 lead.

Arizona is really choking here. Another fumble to give the Vikings the ball very closely to the red zone.

No kidding. Why they trot out Nantz instead of Gus Johnson for the final four is beyond me. If you have a close game in the national championship, who do you really want calling it, Nantz or the greatness that is Gus Johnson?

So Ed Reed came out in the draft the same year as Roy Williams. I wonder which team got the better player there...

Ed Reed has just been a magnet to the ball over the past few years, plain and simple.
I was going to say if the Ravens got a TD, I'm PRETTY sure the Steelers didn't have another 13-3 comeback in them. This has been tough as nails defense today by both teams.

had that play not been ruled a touchdown, that was going to be a very interesting decision for Tomlin.

If you can't punch it in from 2-3 inches out, you didn't deserve to win either way.
I would've gone for it.

me to. i'd rather take that chance then possibly losing the flip and never touching the ball again.

That still was a bogus call they made on that TD for the Steelers.
But yeah, depending on what happens tonight...it could be a incredibly dramatic game:
Last game in Texas Stadium
Cowboys fighting for their playoff lives
Ravens fighting for their playoff lives
DRAMA

I love how the Titans and the Giants really aren't very good any more. Who's going to win the super bowl? The playoffs are going to be fun.
|
The Titans aren't nearly as good as their record shows. They barely beat a few teams (Baltimore and Chicago to name a few) during their 10 game streak. Chris Johnson seems to be hitting a wall. He seems to be no good besides 1 or 2 big plays these past few weeks. And Lendale White is just not that good or consistent. And if you dare them to pass, they'll show how 1-dimensional they are. They're defense is going to keep them in most games, but i can't see them beating 3 of the best teams in the NFL in a row.
Oh yeah.....................Go Texans!!!

So let me make sure I understand this all correctly.
If Atlanta wins out, and the Cowboys lose once, Atlanta is in.
If Atlanta loses once or twice, and the Eagles win out...the Eagles are in.
Meaning if the Eagles beat CLE and WASH then the game against the Cowboys is the play-in game (provided Atlanta has lost a game)
But if Atlanta wins out, and so do the Cowboys (this is what I think will happen) then the Cowboys are in.
I still think its Cowboys @ Arizona. Which should be a joke for a Wild Card game. They're getting worse by the minute just like the Giants.

i hope it is Dallas @ Arizona. I think our guys will be ready to show who should've won that game earlier this season.
and is it me, or does it seem like the Steelers get many a "questionable" call from the refs?

Let's simplify this: WHEN the Cowboys win-out, they're in...

Are the Bucs in dicey waters now? I think TB, Atl, and us have the same record at 9-5. And BJ pwned the Bucs for us.

What would have been incredible is if BJ didn't play like the old man that he is in the other two games.
Then, we wouldn't be in this situation to begin! =P

Colts with a big comeback win at Jacksonville tonight. They've clinched the #5 playoff spot now. After starting off 3-4, they've won 8 games in a row.
Peyton was incredible tonight--29/34, 360 yards, 3 TD's, no picks.

Do you have Peyton as the MVP now, LDub?
Considering where they started...where they are out, and what he's done?
He's on my short list, but I don't think he's my first 1-2 choices.

With the way Warner's fallen off as of late, I think Peyton is right up there. Honestly, I'm a little biased, because I'm a really big fan of his. I'd personally vote for him.
Who do you have ahead?

Chad Pennington
900% the amount of wins from last year...maybe 1000% or 1100%

Do they do ONE MVP, or do they do a Defensive and Offensive MVP?
If it's only ONE overall, and D-Ware breaks the Sack Record, while the Cowboys dominate the Ravens and Eagles to close out the year...it would be tough NOT to give the MVP to Ware.
Biased or not, Ware is having one HECK of a season!!!

MVP is overall, but only 2 defenders have ever won that award (the last time was in the mid-1980s), so they created Defensive Player of the Year to give "the other half of the game" some credit...
As long as the Cowboys make the playoffs, DeMarcus Ware should be on pace to win it (regardless of whether or not he sets any records...)
I also wouldn't be shocked if Justin Tuck won it...

Looks like the Bucs are going to spread their cheeks and make room for the Cowboys to make the playoffs anyway. San Diego is so unpredictable.

This Pats game should have Cowboy fans pretty excited about what they're going to facing in Arizona on wild card weekend. The Cardinals just can't do anything...theyve been awful for weeks.

The first in 131 pass attempts... but so untimely.
Good game though. I don't really care who wins....I guess it would be more fun to see a game in PITT in January because of the weather factor, but the Steelers play just as well at home as they do on the road so...eh.
