That and slow the game way down as Westbrook thrives in a crazy fast paced game. If you can stop the fast break and keep OKC below 100, it gives you a good chance. However, GSW needs that up tempo gamestyle as well, so they would also be hurting themselves.

I also have to add, Billy D is completely out coaching Kerr at the moment. I don't know how many of you guys visit /r/nba, but there has been a new series of threads started called "Next Day Thread" and it's purpose is to have only analytical responses to the game instead of memes. One of the most interesting posts said the following of Billy D's use of timeouts in the 2nd quarter of last night's name:
"Last night BD used hack-an-Ezili in a very smart way. After every timeout in the 2nd quarter he would hack him. But not anytime else. The reason wasn't us wanting to slow the pace down but because we were not going to let the Warriors run an offensive set out of a timeout to get Curry or Thompson going.
Sure you could run the play the next time down but that's a minute or two later and the defense is completely different match up wise because of our switching. I loved seeing BD pull that strategy out."
Excellent strategy on Donovan's part. If Curry isn't dropping 3's, GSW looks lost since so much of their offense is run through him. I'm really excited for Thursday night's game. It will be interesting to see what adjustments, if any, that Kerr will make. I do think GSW will win at home though, they have to. Steph and Clay with a monster game.

Ira Winderman: Source confirms to Sun Sentinel that David Fizdale will be hired as coach the Grizzlies, as per Yahoo, with negotiations now ongoing.

That's the thing about Biyombo. He looks like Ben Wallace one game and not so much the next.
Not blaming him for the loss, but people wanting to spend 15 million a year on him need to tap the brakes.

Thats whats crazy about NBA. It takes a few really good games on a big stage, and thats all she wrote. Someone will offer mega bucks.

Seems like the Warriors got used to the uber friendly regular season calls and aren't as good without the refs totally on their side

Like I said, slow the game down and control the rebounds. I think GSW was still pretty lucky to get a win tonight. I felt they were all over Durant all night long without him getting calls except for the last 5 minutes of the game. If OKC gets the friendly ref treatment that GS got tonight, the series will be over in OKC. I'm not saying the refs were bad, just that there was definite lean towards GS/home team.
But, this series is an awesome series to watch. Whichever teams advances, I still feel will fairly easily beat the Cavs.

Westbrook 11-28 = 39.28%
Klay Thompson 8-21 = 38.09%
Can't really bag on Westbrook or even Durant that much. The warrior defense was hanging all over them. Most of that was really good defense but it was also a lot of no calls for KD/RW.

I couldn't see much of last night's game so I don't know what happened. Sounded like the Thunder did fine and should be able to close it out at home. Hell, they have to. Going back to Oracle Arena is the last thing they want to do.
Tonight's game should be good too. I am expecting the Cavs to close it out.

Yeah, I'm thinking Toronto got those games just because they were feeling disrespected. They seem to be OK with going out 4-2. It's just a championship mentality vs do well in the playoffs. At least that is what it looks like.
Based on the play of GSW and OKC last night, either should really put a ton of pressure on Cleveland and I expect the western conference to retain the trophy.

Not that it should come as much of a surprise, but looks like we will be watching Lebron again in the finals this year. Read the other day that if Cleveland does win the championship they expect Lebron to bolt and head back to Miami. Thoughts?

Things just get weirder and weirder. Bryce kicked in the door of a house in the middle of the night. Home owner shot him dead. Strange.

You gotta be some kinda stupid to be busting down doors in Dallas at 3AM. Apparently the resident of the apartment called out to him, but Bryce went ahead and kicked in the bedroom door as well.

The Philadelphia 76ers will explore trading Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel in the buildup to the NBA draft on June 23, according to league sources.
– via ESPN.com
All those high draft picks and now they plan to trade one of them. I imagine Okafor is their first choice with his off the court issues. I wonder what they could get in return for him?

Westbrook has got to be the dumbest great player in league history. He's phenomenally talented, but man he makes some absolutely boneheaded decisions.

Holy sh*t, Klay Thompson is putting on one of the greatest shooting clinics I have ever seen. He is single-handedly keeping the Warriors' season alive.

Yes. Especially the one from like 4 meters behind the arc

Only if Steph gets injured again before then... Maybe.

It will be very interesting to see if OKC chokes it. I mean, Westbrook and Durant were about as bad as you could get in a serious game like this. Perhaps they just can't handle the pressure?

Outside of G2 and G3(63%), Durant shooting has been horrible. 32%, 33%, 33%, 38%. And I dont know why he shoots 3s. (9-35 25% for the series)
Westbrook helps in other ways so I dont want to completely knock his shooting which is about 40% for the series. He just goes erratic at the end of tight games.

I still think OKC has a shot because nothings changed as far as how OKC has been beating them with the big guys down low clogging up the lane. Just so happened that Klay decided to break a record on 3s. Otherwise, that game was over. Lucky for fans, we get to see a game 7. #Cantwait

Thing is, it's Curry that's been the biggest issue. He's been getting better but not nearly as good as he was before the injuries. OKC abused with bugs but honestly no one can stop Curry and Thompson.
I think there are two main x-factors:
1) can Curry keep climbing back to his old form
2) will we get 70/30 good Westbrook or 70/30 bad Westbrook. Durant has been relatively quiet. Westbrook is an idiot who will do two great things and then two dumb things. one in three games he has a game that is almost entirely good, but the more the pressure, the worse he does. I'd favor the Warriors, but only by a little. If Westbrook has one of his freak games he could drop 40-9-7 with only a few mistakes and the Warriors wouldn't have a chance. Westbrook could just as easily come in and shoot 7-26 with 6TOs.

I'd say betting on the Thunder is a bad choice according to the NBA's Facebook

I'm rooting against the Warriors as hard as I can. Rooting against them... but not betting against them.
