Nice work boys. Now we get either the Sharks (if they win), or the Avs (if the Flames win), right? Not a bad setup.

That was the first Stars handshake I've been able to let myself watch in years.
I am so happy & so proud. Second round, here we come! (Go Flames.)

He's unbelievable.
It was poetic anyway. The series ended the same way it started, with his ass in the box. He and Bertuzzi are really a pair.

Man am I glad they finished that off.
Stars game 7 and Mavs game 2 Tuesday night would have been too much for several people on this board.
Great job Stars, that was a whole lot of fun.

Yeah...I already had that on my radar.
What a 3rd period. Going into it down 1-0....it was pretty bleak. Give Marty credit, he let in that softy, but other than that he was good when he needed to be.
The Stars were the aggressors, and somehow beat Giguere like a punk.
I did not see that 3rd period coming.
How about Loui Erikkson?
How about Robidas? Series mvp, no doubt.

No OT in this series. That's pretty crazy. The Stars always have an OT once per series, if not mroe.

When is the last time anyone around here had a moment like this?
I think I feel happy.
I'm not really sure. It's a foreign sensation.
Is it ok to smile?

It's been since June of '06 I guess.
So is there any chance Zubov comes back for at least a part of round 2?

Tippet is so coy in the playoffs...no one really knows.
It's conceivable that it could happen towards the end, is the impression I get.
Boucher, maybe sooner.
But the kids are playing great, and the Ducks are as physical as it gets.
The bad part is, I would classify the most physical teams in the NHL as:
1a. Ducks
1b. Sharks.
So I don't know how long the Stars can continue to take a beating like this.

What was that? His...3rd game, was it?
Yeah he was adequate. You forfeit the offensive upside with Boucher and Zubie out. Last year, that kills you.
Now you have the Richards line giving you chances, and of course the greatness of Morrow/Ribs.
And then you get freaking Stu Barnes and Robidas working it hard.
So the offensive part of your All-Star D-men isn't missed so much.

You know, the funniest thing I saw during the game is when Modano scores the open netter and everyone on the bench is going crazy... except him But he's a cool dude.
Robidas is my player of the series aside the greatness of Marty. They need to make a NBA commercial ripoff with "Where [insert picture of Robidas broken nose] happens." He has a lot of heart.

Sydor like.
And on the other issue...on any given goal in the NHL, there are two reactions that are usually priceless, depending on the guys..
1. The reaction of the Coach, which usually looks alot like Tipp.
2. The reaction of the goalie. I love to watch Marty when the Stars score. He is pumped, and sometimes so relieved. You can feel his joy from hundreds of feet away. You never get to see that on TV.

Btw, if Perry doesn't come back, do the Stars win in 4 or 5?

Oh and more from the emotion front:
Lundqvist had an assist tonight. His wife also gave birth to their first child, a baby girl earlier today.
What a day for that guy! Way to go dude!

I just got back from the game.... that was fun. The crowd was pretty electric the entire 3rd period. After those 2 goals back to back almost I have never seen an AAC crowd lit up like that. Well not in a game I attended anyway.
I'm tired. But that was 100 percent worth it.

I'll be paying for it tomorrow but I don't care.
I was in section 332 and those were some of the best seats I've ever witnessed a game in. Really. Are there any bad seats in the AAC? I couldn't believe how great the view was from so high up.
Anyway..... it was a blast. I'm going to sleep. With a smile on.
