F the Lakers.
That's what the Mavs get for sucking down the stretch.

He made two or three marvellous blocks prior to my post. But you may be right here.

Wow congrats to Don Nelson for all time winning-est coach. Was rooting for the Raps win wow crazy game...Bosh hits the two free throws late in the game cut the lead to 1, warriors inbound and someone on the raps steals the ball and saves it inbounds, chris bosh got it but missed the layup...that sucks.

Huge win for the Spurs, this team is finally getting it together.
Ginobili is gonna get some serious $ this summer but hopefully it'll be the Spurs footing the bill and not someone else.

Go Durant didnt change is game and style of play that would end up in this signicant higher FT rate. Its the crappy posterboy calls, specially swinging his arms under the defenders arms...

Kings have rallied from 9 down against SA and are down only 2 in the 4th. Would be really big for shoring up the division of the Kings can pull it out.

Kings blowing it. Nevermind.
Great shot by Deron to give the Jazz the W over the Thunda.

Durant's rebounds are up a similar amount - is that also due to posterboy calls?
Look at the real NBA posterboy, Kobe Bryant. Kobe's FT attempts per game are actually down a similar amount over the past 4 years - is this due to rampant anti-Kobe refereeing? Or are FT attempts simply a reflection of the stage of a player's career?
You will see a massive increase in FT attempts over the first 3 years of any good player, whether it's:
"Posterboys" - Lebron James (5.8 to 10.3), Dwyane Wade (5.1 to 10.7), Dwight Howard (5.0 to 8.1)
Or "non-posterboys" - Paul Millsap (2.5 to 4.3), Danny Granger (1.9 to 4.7), Carlos Boozer (2.4 to 5.3)
I'm amazed that anyone could hate Kevin Durant, since he's probably one of the most likeable players in the league.

It was for one year i guess. Weird, Dirk didnt change his game much either. For me, he get fouled more often than ever on the top of the key.
So lets see when KD´s FT numbers will go down 20%. Maybe 2019.
FT´s are still 50% name of the player, name of the team and name of the ref.
Thats just sad.

Yes, it was for one year. Perhaps it's only one for Durant - who knows. But take a look at the numbers. Durant 0.5 FTA/FGA, Dirk 0.39 FTA/FGA. IMO nothing to complain about cause Durant goes more to the rim - most time in heavy traffic. And I don't agree that Dirk gets not enough calls. In all objectivity he is still one of the players who knows best how to draw fouls and go to the line.

Durant gets BS foul calls by sweeping his arms under the defender's then pretending to shoot.

So you admit that large variance in FTA can be achieved with no change in playing style? (I disagree, but nonetheless this is the basis of your argument against Durant).

You are quite cynical, I sense. Also I would bet the under.

Unsubstantiated nonsense. Stars (i.e. the best players in the league) get to the free throw line because they know how to drive and know how to draw illegal contact from defenders. Stars can get preferential treatment, but your anti-Durant posts are silly, bordering on spiteful.
English seems to be your second language, but just a tip with apostrophes. Apostrophes are only used to indicate possession (the boy's ball) or to contract two words (would not --> wouldn't). So, you don't use an apostrophe for "FTs", but you should use an apostrophe for "that's". Also, you don't use spaces either before or after an apostrophe.
You didn't respond to my post above. Essentially my argument is that nearly every good player will demonstrate an explosion in FTA over their first 3 years. Durant's increase in FTA is utterly unremarkable and proves nothing.

Utah playing some sweet defense in Houston tonight. Houston has 90 with a couple minutes left in the 3rd.

The Jazz loss singlehandedly (i.e., without any of the other games being finished) dropped them from #2 to #5 in the conference. Yikes.

The Nash-Stoudemire pick-and-roll is such a thing of basketball beauty.

He's gotta have one of the longest free throw routines though.
2 practice shots, 3 dribbles plus a lick.

Spurs defense taking a page from the Utah Jazz playbook tonight.

Spurs defence looking very shoddy tonight. Nash is just creating holes at will. But still the Spurs are within striking distance.
Will the DuncanGinobot ever break down?
