Telling this since yesterday. They can offer Matthews like 12-13 plus the potential 1-2m cap raise at july 8th...

Man, can't we have the option where we can just embed twitter messages?

I'd rather front office meet with Brewer than Williams. But how much would brewer be asking for?

I wouldn't mind if Brewer made a comeback bring our highest payed bench player. At least he has playoff experience than Williams.

a reasonably priced replacement for AFA would be Gerald Green.

Agreed. We could use a guy off the bench that can score in bunches

I'm thinking the MBT believes that Toronto can not really offer Matthews $15M (or perhaps even $12M) without clearing some cap space. And they now have Carroll + DeRozan. Where does he really fit with Toronto unless they trade their all-star SG or one of them (DeRozan or Matthews) agrees to come off the bench (not likely)? So, the Mavs may not be viewing the Raptors as much of a threat. Sacramento is a disaster, so MBT may also be thinking that if the $$ is close, Wes will choose the Mavs. Does Matthews have any other meetings scheduled? I guess my point is that the Mavs are likely viewing themselves as in the driving seat for Matthews.

We have 2 starters on our roster. They have the best center in the league. Mavs putting themselves over the Kings (or anybody else) at the point, would be ill advised.

I think (hope) that history and culture have a lot more impact on these decisions than you think it does.

Culture? What culture?
The Culture that trying to get bargain deals and kick off your best Players after a season all the time?
The Culture of not trusting young players and just giving away Draft Picks for free?

NBA Central @TheNBACentral 2 Min.Vor 2 Minuten
The Kings will reportedly make Wesley Mathews an offer that "will be hard to refuse".

I'm guessing Lebron's offer then? To be coach, GM, president and number 1 option. What else is there for them to give that nobody else can match?

Another big man off the board.... Koufos and Lopez may be the only 5s left. Oh, that's right Mavs could re-sign Amare to a long term deal if they whiff on Jordan.....

We have a plan B if Jordan doesn't sign here. I'll take the chance on Hibbert if it's plan B.

@WojYahooNBA: Sources: If Mavs miss on DeAndre Jordan, it's expected talks with Indiana on Monta Ellis-Roy Hibbert centered sign-and-trade will happen.
I disappear for a couple hours, nothing happens...

@espn_macmahon: Mavs have touched base with a bunch of point guards. My educated guess is they end up signing Jeremy Lin.

Lin is probably the best option. There is a pretty long list available still:
Mo Williams
CJ Watson
Norris Cole
Nick Calathes (R)
JJB
Matt Dellavawhateveryournameis (R)
Kendell Marshall
Nate Robinson

I'd be satisfied if we ended up with Lin and Barea, but surprisingly there are still plenty of serviceable options at PG.

Woj talking about sign and trade with Phx. Would that give us Morris and pj tucker? Depending on money I could deal with that along with DJ.

Can we sign Matthews, sign Jordan, and then sign-and-trade Tyson for Tucker? Is that possible?
That would be beyond great.
