I recommend the "ignore" option in the User CP.

My blood pressure has stabilized since that feature has come back.

The Hornets are giving the Lakers a run tonight. Up 61-56 at the half.

The good news as far as just making the playoffs is concerned is we're really only competing with 9 teams. Everyone else has very little chance of making a huge comeback and making the playoffs.

Lakers (lock)
Spurs
Hornets
Nuggets
Mavs
Jazz
Trail Blazers
Suns
Rockets

The 10th place team the Grizzles are 11-24 and 9 games behind the 8th place team, and it gets worse from there. These teams don't have the personel to stage a huge comeback to make the playoffs. For all purposes it's a 9 team race.

Only one of these teams will get left out. Just gotta make sure it's not us.

At the beginning of the season I said it would be the Blazers, which still could happen, but it looks like the Rockets are plummeting earlier than I thought they would.

btw, what a great night tonight. Dallas wins, Rockets lose, Celtics lose, Lakers lose.

Tomorrow looks pretty good too... Boston will probably beat the Rockets, Utah is playing NO, and Detroit will probably beat the Royless Blazers.

A lot of people seem to think Utah will be the odd man out in the WC playoff race, simply due to their injuries so far and the big one to Boozer, but I'm skeptical. Sloan is one of the best coaches in the league, maybe the best. I might give them a better shot short-handed than I would the Rockets, Blazers, and the Suns.

For sure.

I'd still say it's going to be the Blazers if the Rockets weren't imploding so fast. Utah has too much talent to not climb the standings once their players get back.

I'm hoping for a 1/8 matchup between Boston and Charlotte. Did you guys see the fight in the Bobcats last night?

Interesting little tidbit I found on ESPN Insider Rumors...

Quote:
Not Close To Adding A Point Guard

Team president Rod Thorn said "in a perfect world," the Nets would add a third point guard. But he added they aren't close to doing anything. But if Devin Harris' injury lingers they could be forced to do something.

"I don't see [anything] happening right now," Thorn said. "I don't see anybody we could pick up, unless we made some kind of trade, that could play."

"We might be at some point in time," he said. "But not now."

Close game between the Celtics and Rockets right now... I wonder which team's slump will prevail?
