Detroit tied right now at 14. Could this be it?
Btw, Calvin Johnson is going to be incredible. Being able to put up 1300 yards and 12 TDs in that offense is pretty darn impressive. Imagine if he actually had a quarterback.

And now Atlanta is wetting the bed against St Louis.
So the Cowboys get to go to Arizona and murder them instead. Did Jerry Jones pay for all of this, or what?

Vince young gets the Titans shut out today.
Is getting shutout the way you want to head into the bye week?

That type of strategy didn't really work too well for the Cowboys last year, but whatever floats Fisher's boat.

Speaking of wetting the bed, Tampa Bay just went down 4 to Oakland. If there has been one playoff contender worse than Dallas this December, it's Tampa Bay. They are awful.

Drew Brees is 16 yards away from breaking Dan Marino's season yardage record. 3 minutes left, Panthers ball. Hopefully they'll punt.

So Tampa has 1:09 to drive this ball down the field for a TD to take it to overtime.
So Philly pretty much has life now. Thanks Tampa, Minn, and Chicago. You guys all suck...dong.

And the Bucs just laid a complete turd. Wow.

Philly definitely has a chance to survive now. Who the hell knows what is going to happen in that game today.
And Detroit is about 2 minutes away from having themselves put out of their misery.

Man, I'm just getting that bad feeling that Philly is going to run us out of the stadium today. The way the day has unfolded is so setting up for it.
We blew our chance against Baltimore and Pittsburgh. We are going to be regretting it after today.

I'm getting the feeling this is going to be a very disappointing day. A heartbreaker at the end.
I hope I'm wrong!

2nd time since the merger that an 11-win team will miss the playoffs.
Crappy start to the Patriots season, but they definitely held up pretty well.

Yeah, I imagine deep down this was a very self-gratifying win for him. It's a sense of validation and etc to him, he didn't care today who the opponent was, he just wants the team to win and get in the playoffs. It definitely makes him feel great though that it was against the team that let him go.

How about Bill Parcells? He gets to watch his new team make the playoffs as the team that pretty much punted him absolutely collapsed.

And apparently...if he sees fit, he can go anywhere he wants if Miami changes ownership, which appears very likely.
He can opt out of his deal b/c of the change of ownership. Once it happens, he has 30 days to make up his mind. This is the part I'm unsure about. If he opts out, I think he still might actually get some major compensation for leaving.

He gets the entirety of his contract paid, and he gets to walk way. Pretty sweet deal. Smart too. The owner selling the team doesn't care whether he gets his money, and the new owner isn't going to cancel the whole thing just because of that contract.

Ok, I thought that was the case...but wasn't sure.
It'd have to be a pretty nice situation and a sweet pay day for him to leave though, I would think. Miami has been a great turnaround this year. I would still say Atlanta is #1 in terms of better story, but Miami is right up there.

As expected, SD is taking the Broncos to the woodshed. What a joke.
Whoever wins out of SD/Indy next week, I'm pretty sure they're one of the most dangerous teams left in the playoffs. SD always gives Indy fits and if Indy survives they're just a team you don't want to face.

I think it is pretty "gay" (couldn't think of a better term) that Indy has to play @ San Diego. Winning a joke division shouldn't give you home field advantage. Oh well, I still see the Colts smoking their pathetic defense.
Wouldn't it be "cool" (couldn't think of a better word) if Peyton and Eli faced off in the Superbowl? Could possibly happen.

I don't see a Manning Bowl.
The two hot/dangerous teams are facing each other in SD. It's a fluke year for the way the records matched up and how that made some teams get in and some be forced to look from the outside.

Hey at least Dallas didn't give up 52...all of them scored by the offense. Wow, what a beating.
Agree that it's a shame that San Diego will host a game, but those are the rules. 8-8 gets you in, while the Patriots sit at home...

My (Early) Wild Card Predictions:
Ravens beat Dolphins
Indy beats Chargers
Eagles beat Vikings
Falcons beat Cardinals
The fact that LT got a little dinged up tonight changed my though of SD taking it. Bc it seems whenever he gets hurt in the playoffs or right before, he does next to nothing afterwards. If they can give him the full bill of health, I think I could change it.

I don't like NBC...I'm looking forward to the Fox and CBS game presentations tomorrow.
I especially don't care for their in studio crew.

The Colts special teams are losing this for them. This fumble...and their god awful punter. Just awful.
