The White Sox have a good rotation and its actually fairly similar to the rangers. That said, you only have 2 good hitters(Konerko and Rios). You arent anywhere near the favorites to win the world series with 2 good hitters especially when neither one of them is mvp level.

Ummm, 31-15= 46 games.
So I'm wrong about them being 30-9 in their last 39 games...somehow they are 31-15 in their last 39 games...

Location... he just doesn't put the ball where he wants to anymore... part of that is due to the movement not being there on his sinker consistently.. part of that is that he's just missing his spots way too much.
A couple of dill's will tell you that his peripherals showed that he wasn't nearly as good as his numbers indicated last year.. but, those are the guys that really can't watch a game and see what's going on.

Yes, more attacks against the people that said Feldman wasn't going to come close to duplicating his performance from last year.
Sucks being wrong, but it happens to the best of us Murph.

Is there a specific reason that Jules Borbon isn't playing tonight?

He has been about 5x better ever since I ragged on him earlier in this thread. No need to thank me.

Let's go ahead and put this one away, and get out of this week with a 7-game lead. Sounds good to me.

Did they immediately preceed that 30-9 with a 1 and 6 streak(ill give you a hint, they didnt). If not, then no they arent 30 and 9 in their last 39.

I wouldn't jump on this bandwagon considering several of you will be quick to throw out links to bobsstats.com and tedsstatistics.net; however, with that said, when the guy himself and his manager says his ball doesn't have the movement and location as it has in the past, well, how about take their word on it over Bob and Ted. K?
I mean, - I am not saying the guy is injured so bear with this analogy. With that said, how would you like to be a 3-pt specialist that can't hit his shot because you have an annoying pain in your calf that tweaks your rhythm ever so slightly only to be told by bobsstats.com and tedsstatistics.net that your form and follow through are exactly the same so last year you overachieved and this year you are just back to your sucky self (primarily because two stats, let's call them FAISPBR and RISPLISP, says so).
I watched the guy pitch last year... I watched the guy pitch this year... His command and his movement is off, but keep on believing Bob and Ted... They clearly know better than the guy himself and the guy's manager.

If MLB approves, it looks like it won't be long before Cantu is a Ranger:
http://sports.espn.go.com/dallas/mlb...ory?id=5411498
He has played really poor of late but he is still fairly young and should be a pretty good upgrade over Davis at 1B against lefties. He would also help spell Vlad to try to get him back in line after this pretty lengthy slump he is in.

I know you're not this stupid, because you make a lot of intelligent posts. I said their record in their last THIRTY-NINE games. If I said their record in their last FORTY-SIX games you would be correct. But I didn't. How is this remotely complicated? Precede is the word, btw.

The level of snarkiness and downright anger that advanced statistics generates amongst "old school" baseball fans is absolutely hilarious. And I understand that a lot of the louder statistical guys are obnoxious.
But there's real value to be gained from learning about some of the more accepted advanced statistics. If you're not interested, fine, I get that, but mocking someone because they're trying to be more informed is pretty strange in my book.
Hey, maybe Feldman turns it around at some point. I'll be happy for him. And I don't expect him to continue to be quite this bad. But he's simply not the pitcher that his results from last year indicated.

Excluding last nights game(because it hadnt happened yet), they were 13 and 6 in july. In order to have been 30 and 9 they would have had to have won 17 of their last 20 games in june. They didnt thusly they couldnt have been 30-9 in their last 39 games. I didnt actually look up the exact record(though it was 29 and 10 so it was damn close)

Red Sox beat the Angels.
7.5 game lead now over BOTH the Angels and A's.

Ouch - Haren hit on the forearm in his first start for the Angels. He thinks he will make his next start though.
Big series coming up (well, really the next 4 are - Oakland at home and then all 3 in our division on the road).
Nice to see Cliff Lee pitching, that always makes me feel cozy inside.

This. I'm so mother' effin tired of hearing about the stupid mother effing pads that someone didn't carry. Who gives a good &(&#@.
F the Cowboys and the inflated media coverage I have to suffer through every year.

With all due respect...I became a Rangers fan because of the Cowboys...heck I became a Mavs fan because of the Cowboys...and a Stars Fan, FC Dallas fan...Sidekicks when they existed...all because of my early indoctrination into the Cowboys way of life.
That being said, I enjoy that bad arse season that the Rangers are having, but I alse enjoy the Cowboys coverage...
This is giving me Sports options...when usually I'm drudging through Pre-Season...this year, between the Rangers and Cowboys...I have two Potential Championship options.

wish the Rangers could give Cliff a little more run support. as amazing as it is to have him on this squad, i feel like when he's pitching it's almost shakier, because you know that the Ranger (so far) don't give him much run support. Maybe that'll turn around tonight.

A new career high for Lee with 12 Ks. He has pitched phenomenally. What sucks is that the one run he allowed was unearned and should have easily been avoided. And we can't give him any run support!! ARGH

I'd be too. It's not that Kinsler got out, but it was HOW he got out. Swinging at 3-0 just bailed out the A's.

13K's and no walks with that number of pitches is mind boggling.
Gosh this is fun.
I don't even mind the band wagoners. Come one, come all. The Rangers deserve band wagoners for once.
Here's an interesting thought: The Ranger have a VERY legitimate shot at having the MVP, the Cy Young, and the ROY. And hell, does Wash get manager of the year if we win the division?

Angels lose once again. Lead up to 8.5 games on both them and the A's.

The Rangers have by far the biggest lead of any division leader currently. 8.5 games. Next closest is the Braves at 3.5.
Course that says a lot more about the rest of the AL West than the Rangers, but still.
