What about a trade of Kawhi for the #1 pick Fultz? That gives Boston a much better chance to compete against CLE in the east and relieves them of the pressure to keep IT when they pretty much have to draft Fultz. SAS would honestly probably need more in return which means a three-way might be needed. I haven't really though about additional trade partners at this point.

There is not a chance in hell Popp trades the best two-way player since Lebron for anything. Kawhi isn't even in his prime yet, and given the similarities between his game and Lebron's you can expect 7-8 years of first team All NBA caliber play from him. Spurs will reboot through savvy drafting, trades, and budget free agent pickups as they always do.

Well you don't trade a top 5 player for a someone who might be a star down the road.
People are getting wayyy ahead of themselves with Fultz.

Stupid teams like the Magic do stuff like that. Spurs are NOT a stupid team like the Magic. You could get three lottery picks in this draft and not get a single player with as much impact as Kahwi

The easier route would be Parker/Ginobli retire. Parker off the bench if stays, and go get Lowry. Lets not be drastic

I doubt there is any current NBA player the Spurs would consider trading Kawhi for since the Brow has a glass body and Lebron is old...

Yeah, Leonard is a perennial MVP candidate, one of the best 2-way players in the league... At best, Fultz could be the same. At best.

It's better if Cleveland wins in 5 to have any chance vs the Warriors. Boston giving them a hard time just ensures a ring for GS.

And it's taking forever to get to the real season. We've been waiting for months for CLE vs GSW. I'm sure people were getting bored watching months of pre-season games.

How sweet do you think Durant's championship will be if he gets it? Basically didn't struggle at all. Walked onto a championship/near-championship team and maybe put them over the top.
Dirk put in more than a dozen years struggling through adversity to get his.
The value of a reward is the pain and sweat that went into it.

KD def took the easy way out. Bitch move IMO. They were talking on the radio about if he wins it this year he might go back to OKC. One of the guys seems to think he would be welcomed back with open arms. I'm not so sure.

KD is a bigger bitch than LeBron, and that's saying a lot... Put a big, ol' asterisks next to anything they achieve in their careers, they barely had to work for it.

Craziest story I've heard this year in the NBA.
Erdogan compares self to Hitler. Makes himself dictator. Kanter says he supports the opposition candidate and also compares Erdogan to Hitler. Turkey cancels passport and orders his arrest. Detained in Romania

The dividends for CP3 — assuming he wants to remain with the Clippers, and the Clippers want to keep him — are immediately evident. For all practical purposes, under the Over-36 Rule Paul would have been looking at a max contract of four years, $156 million.
Under the Over-38 Rule, he’s looking at a max contract of five years, $201 million.
In other words, because of this one simple rule change, this summer Chris Paul can potentially lock in $45 million in guaranteed salary for the season in which he turns 37 years old.

CP3 reportedly pushed hard for this one rule change. To change the over 36 to the over 38 rule. I don't see CP3 leaving LA to go to the Spurs and miss out on a 45mill payday at age 37. Especially since it looks like he pushed hard for something that greatly benefits him.

He definitely created a nice option for himself, no doubt... And $45m is definitely hard to walk away from... But he's already made about $140m in his career, plus another max contract on the horizon, so maybe he'd be willing to walk away from the money for a chance to compete for a ring? I mean, CP3 to the Spurs is a contender -- easily a better option than replacing Griffin with Melo or whatever in LA.
It really just depends on how much he values the hardware over (more) money.

I'd rather see Paul rot in Clipperland. Watching him play on the Spurs would not be fun...

I know it would never happen, but I think CP3 to Minnesota would be a pretty scary team. Andrew Wiggins is your 3rd best player? Add in their draft pick from this year and that could be a solid team.

Good move for the Nets IMO. They have no 1st rounder next year, so they acquire a guy who was a top 3 pick a few years ago. They had no other way of getting any talent.

@daldridgetnt: Per source, Jimmy Butler has informed Cavs that he wants to stay in Chicago rather than be traded to Cleveland.
@daldridgetnt: Asked Dwayne Wade tonight why he opted in for 2017-18 in Chicago: "24 million reasons."
