Thursdays is like THE tv night; it's where the networks put their bug guns, generally. So not surprising shift Lost to that night now that they don't have Grey's.

Discuss: Which character is leaving the island?

yeah, i have a strong hunch that Jack and Kate get off the island. I've always been good at predicting what's going to happen in shows and movies...

Hm, I remember seeing in the preview that only one person leaves the island in the season premier...

They went to Hurley when they said "one person is leaving the island" so we know it's not Hurley.

Yes I know, I'm just saying. I thought I saw in the preview (unless I saw wrong) that one person is going to leave the island. I could be wrong--but do you think a person besides Jack or Kate will leave in the season premier?

I thought the point of that scene was that Hurley was kneeling at a grave.
I think they're planting the seed that "leaving the island" could simply mean dying.

Excuse me for a second....
OMMMGGG!!!!!!!
Ok, I'm cool.
Thanks for posting that, I didn't really have any kind of trailer on my radar. 8 lousy episodes. Here we go, baby! 8 episodes, more questions, and then 10 months of waiting.

"some will leave"
We know that Jack and Kate get off the island. Probably more. To be honest, I had assumed since the end of season 3 that all of them left at some point, and that going forward, the flash-forwards would be a way to tell the end of the story, while simultaneously telling the middle of the story in what we know as "the present."
Now I'm not so sure. What do you say to the idea of a significant portion of the "present" story happening off island with jack and kate and maybe friends for seasons 4, 5 and 6?

Personally, I wouldn't like it if they started to have episodes off the island.
It's like when "Prison" Break went outside the prison walls, failure.

hasn't prison break been on for like 4 years? and they escaped in the 1st year, right? 3 more years doesn't sound like failure.

They are in their third "prison" from what ty has told me. That, my friend, is a joke.

I have, this night, re-watched the season 3 finale and the extended season 4 trailer.
Notice, at the end of the trailer, there appears to be a city skyline reflected in the water below the LOSt logo. Surely very intentional. What city is it? Will some of this season indeed take place off island?
Jacks speech to kate at the end of season 3...at first I thought Jack had turned into a Locke like character, who wanted to get back for his own reasons....that the island had exerted its magic power over him.... But now I think that maybe Jack and Kate left the island (with maybe very limited others) and Jack is trying to go back to save everyone else. His last name says it all.
Could there be a more annoying time in the history of television to have this dumb WGA strike? GRRRRRRRRRR.
Also, in the trailer, it looks as though hurley is going to see Jacob? There's a broken window he's looking through. Very weird.

In terms of Hurley, I'm still wondering why he and Libby were in the same mental hospital.
