I've finally started watching Season 5 of The Wire. Its awesome as always. The character development is really amazing and unlike most other shows, there's not a single storyline that I don't enjoy.

Chuck was good again this week. I think they played the whole Chuck liking the blonde thing a bit too soon. Yeah, it actually works, but at some point, the viewer will get tired of Chuck getting jerked around. I know I was ready for him to get what was coming his way only to see something come up again..and again.

So in no particular order and thanks to both of my DVR's I get to watch a ton of TV.
24
Psyche
Monk
Chuck
CSI
CSI Miami
Bones
the Cleaner
the Mentalist
Two and Half Men
Everybody Loves Raymond
Home Improvement
MASH
Fox News Channel - sometimes the other networks, just to hear the smearing from the left
Life
the Dresden Files
X-Files
Jericho - I wish it was still on
We used to watch Crossing Jordan - I kinda miss that show
Numbers
House
I've probably got a few more...as I think of them, I'll add them...then there is the sports programming (Stars, Cowboys) - Soccer - on occasion a Ranger game...sometimes a Mavs game, I usually wait until post-season, if they have a shot.
My favorite is Stars in HD!!! That and HD Cowboys are freakin awesome to watch!!!
That makes me wonder...if message boards where a TV show, which show would they be?

I don't post on the Mavs section...simply I get to be too bitter...but I have posted for the Mavs on other boards for years....back in the Yahoo days.
I was constantly on the Lakers board and actually got some good props from Laker fans for sticking to good basketball talk, all the while hating on their Lakers.
Honestly the Heat series knocked me down...and then the collapse to Golden State nearly killed me.
Saddly I'm one of those who believes the Mavs will never contend let alone win a title as long as Mark Cuban and David Stern are both involved in the NBA. When one or the other is gone, I will re-evaluate...watching one game at a time and truly assessing how the officiating goes.
Until then, the NBA is nothing more that the WWF of team sports and I will treat it as such.
Otherwise, I live and die by the Mavs...I just don't believe that the league is built to be fair anymore, thus I have little incentive to watch.
I still enjoy the boards, the chats etc...just down on the NBA in general. It's slipped down there to baseball in my book...I'll watch if there is nothing else on. I'ld rather watch NFL, NHL or Soccer before I watch an NBA soap opera.

i understand the idea of posting in the lounge, political forum, etc. - because i post in the other forums more than I do the Mavs forum, that's just the nature of the beast, especially in the offseason. What I can't understand is why someone would sign up at a site called WWW.DALLAS-MAVS.COM in the first place, if said person admits he only jumps on in the postseason, and only "if they have a shot" at that.
How's the weather where you are? Fair?

He's not a fairweather fan. But nice one haha. He's just simply stating how he has lost faith in the NBA in general as well as the Mavericks... which isn't that far-fetched to say IMHO.

I started off with the Mavs.
I've got this board saved on my Fav's for mavs talk
I have another one for Ranger talk
another for Stars talk
and yet another for Cowboys talk
I have a few others for other topics...but as it turns out, the Mavs board is pretty cool in terms of Lounge talk and Political talk.
If you look into last year, obviously I watch some of the games and I will post about what I've seen...however, I would be a liar if I didn't state my state of mind on the current NBA. At the time I started, I was still into the Mavs and the NBA...I've since grown and gathered other interests...thus the Lounge and Political boards.
But that is not what this thread is about...so there's my explanation, now let's get back to our favorite shows...
Take care fellow fans.

If you don't watch the Mavs until the post season, you do not "live and die by the Mavs". You're simply like all the dopes at my office who don't watch the Mavs or know anything about them until the post season rolls around, and they want to speak to why the Mavs will never truly contend.
Good gawd.

Not so sure that's a good thing.
Thig assisted in my point, so back to your regularly scheduled thread - I'm watching the debate.

Chuck was great. john larroquette was great. very funny.
I wonder how long they will tease chuck/sarah. I bet that goes away as the season rolls on.
I give this show about a 40% chance of a season 3. Which is too bad, because I freaking love it.

Yep Chuck is pretty cool...J.L. was priceless last night!!!
The other from last night was the Cleaner. That is one very intense show and pretty good at portraying addiction in a 60 min, drama format. This might be due to my own fight with addiction, but this is one of my favorite programs on TV right now.

Season Premiere of CSI is tonight. The original is the only one I watch... The previews have me really excited for this season, especial with their use of "The Funeral" by Band of Horses. Great use of a song.

Is there any better tv night than Thursday?
The two greatest comedies on TV today.
The Office and then two straight It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia episodes. Endless laughter.

I believe Chuck already had a full order of 22 episodes this season...
Of course they don't have to air them. Why oh why do people watch "Dancing with the stars"?

I love this show too Flac. Waiting to see next week now that Brice is back if that is going to throw a thorn in Chuck going after Sarah.
The other show I like is Psyche. Kinda pissed that THE MENTALIST is a spinoff of it, but it has promise.
The show I am falling for is fringe.

I went into this season fully expecting to lose Life and Chuck by the time the season was over. I'm prepared for it.
After Studio 60, losing other shows just doesn't have the same kind of sting.

Yeah...that was gay.
On a list of shows I would bring back if given the chance, Studio 60 is way up there. Firefly is as well.

3 of the 4 shows that I watch right now are on the "hot seat" according to that list.
I must just like sucky television? Chuck, Terminator, and Daisies. All 3, especially Terminator, are having good seasons in my opinion. Daisies seems like the most likely to me to not have staying power because how long can they not touch before you get sick of it? But I enjoy it just as much as the other 2. My wife is a big watcher of Christine, but she has lost interest since they took the gay marriage angle.

My wife and I also watch Terminator (we're one behind right now) and Pushing Daisies (missed it last night).
I guess I suck at TV as well. Or...we have good taste and the rest of America is voting for absolute crap (in more than one way)

After looking at the numbers, Chuck doesn't look like it'll go anywhere too quickly. It's in the middle of the pack. The middle of the pack isn't that bad.

And NBC has to know those numbers are coming against the ratings juggernaut that is Dancing With The Stars. Middle of the pack isn't bad when considering that.

I think Life has been pretty good this season, but I guess I can see why it doesn't get a bigger audience.
