Anyone care to guess who posted a 7/22 3 rebound, 1 assist, 4 turnover, 22 point effort in an elimination game not long ago...
James wasn't great, but he far from sucked yesterday. Putting anything on him for the Cavs not winning this series is a bit silly

So that growth in his mouth might not fly as an excuse for losing against Orlando, but maybe he can use it as a scapegoat for his poor sportsmanship at the end of the series?
(anything to defend the pride of the King!)

Even if this thing was the size of a jawbreaker, Wade played in '06 with a pair in his mouth.

heck, Kobe was 4/12 for 14 points in his last elimination game. Luckily for his reputation as mr. superclutch, he played that game alongside someone who was 10/19 with 18 rebounds.

Kobe is not the same player he was a couple years ago. He has lost a step.

It doesn't take a whole lot of guts to root for the same team as everyone else...
My prediction - Lakers in 6 (see how easy that was!)

MJ lost a step in his second three-peat too.
Adding new moves, being smarter, and stronger can make you a better player even if you are less athletic. Kobe has stopped attacking and dunking like he used to..so that he can elongate his career. He picks his spots for when to make his moves.
The true test of Lebron's career will be in his early 30s, when he isn't as explosive and fast. Will he be able to change his game?

He also picked North Carolina to win the NCAA tourney... It may not be hard to choose the front-runner, but that doesn't mean he's wrong.
Anyway, I hate the Lakers... Magic in 7.

As if I needed any more reasons to hope the Magic win!!!
Can we try and keep this on Basketball only?
Kudos to D. Howard, he has a monster series agains the Cavs and pretty much has had a monster playoffs. He's one of the classier guys in the league and it would be great to see him lift up the trophy and become a shining face of the NBA!!!

Jordan after 30 is so much better than Kobe after 30. But I guess it's not a fair comparison since Kobe's been in the league since 18. But, good point with Lebron when he's older and has less athleticism.

This will be a fun series I hope it will be pushed to 7 games. I need something to watch on ABC anyway! Oh and they (Nike) have already stitched new Lebron commercials.

Interesting that LA didn't start small. I really figured they'd start Odom. I guess if something has been working for you well enough to get to the finals, there's no getting away from it.

If we go for signing a big...he's gotta be #1.
This is a typical performance from him. The real shock factor is that he seems to be making things really difficult for Gasol. Defense was the big question because he didn't have a real test in the ECF.
Stan Van seemed pretty confident in his abilities...no doubts.

Btw, Nelson is ballin early on here. He doesn't look as rusty as I thought. I guess we'll see how he handles it once he starts getting winded, but at the same time I hope they aren't going to give him too many minutes anyways
