Well, its going to be a good game. Cliffton's got his one bad start out of the way. In a World Series elimination game, I expect nothing less than 9 IP's. I'd be OK with 8, though, providing Happy comes in for the save.

And Flac is not wrong, per se. When we look back on this season, no matter what happens next, no real fan could possibly be angry with this result, whatever it is. Anger and frustration in the short term is understandable, but long term this will be looked on as one hell of a season, even if they never get here again. And not just because they got the World Series, either. This has been a magical season on a number of fronts.
Go Rangers.
|
Being a magical season is exactly why I'll be angry if they don't capitalize. We could all be dead before they get back to the WS. I'm gonna live a little and not be a puss. Just like for the Mavs, coming in second is slightly more of an accomplishment than getting a high draft pick.

Crud. Lee missed by a mile on that pitch. Credit to the Giants. They've been far and away the better team. I'm gonna go slit my wrists now.

I watched twelve episodes of The Big Bang Theory last night to drown my sorrows. What the hell am I going to do tonight? Start writing death metal songs?

Watch it again. Molina was setup down and out of the strike zone. Lee just missed.

Time and time again in this series the Giants hitters/pitchers have come up with the big hit/pitch to get them runs/out of an inning. The Rangers haven't even come close.
:choke:.........thus far. Anything's possible.

As beautiful as this ride has been...it just feels like the Rangers didn't show up for this series.

We've swung at 25 balls in the dirt tonight, and take a pitch belt high and right down the middle.

WHAT? You mean Lee didn't mean to toss a fat pitch down the middle?? I'm offended at even that insinuation!

The better team won.
I still can't name most of them because they're a bunch of spares....but they were still the better team.
Well done, Rangers. It was a hell of a fun summer.

Let me predict next year. Rangers win 110 games...best record in league, then lose all games to a west coast team.
Congrats to Giants. They just knew they were going to win.
Wonder if Cliff returns now.

As a fan of both the rangers and mavs, I can honestly say that I'm much more optimistic about the future of the rangers in both the short and long term. Daniels + Nolan >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Cuban + Nelson.
