I love how many things Hubie Brown prefaces with "We all know...."
"We all know that Josh Smith averages just under nine rebounds a game."

Marion is reminding us of what he was like in Phoenix. This is what he should do every night: dive and cut. Don't post up.

The Dirkster is doing a great job on Josh Smith so far.

The first six minutes looked quite sloppy and like one of those letdown games after a great win with subpar defense and everything, but ever since then we've been on a roll and really impressive. Love it.

Dirk had an easy 15 footer... turned it down and shot that. Really wish Dirk would take the "easy" stuff that teams sometimes gives him.
And their rebounding stinks when a center aint in there.

It's all about the rhythm of the shot. He doesn't shoot those because he doesn't feel the right rhythm. It seems counterintuitive, but he'd rather take a covered shot that he moves into with the right rhythm than an open shot that doesn't "feel" right.

I think the one who needed the asg-break the most was the matrix. He looks more and moore like the matrix we have seen atthe start of the presaison and the first games til he turned his ankle

Dub, I understand the mentality but Dirk rarely gets open looks... if they leave him open for 15 footers... shoot it EVERY TIME!

Can you guys please stop freaking out about one turnover by JJ? At least wait until he makes 2-3 bad plays (which he likely will) before you turn this GDT into every other one.

Correct but the thing is, it's just so clear as a day to see Barea not being able to run the offense, he dribbles around too much, the offense isn't as smooth compare to Kidd (obviously). I don't expect PG to run the offense as Kidd does but still, they should be somehow able to do calm and run the offense like a PG. When Barea is out there, it almost feels like Mavs are panicking.

I don't want to sound rude (because I don't mean this rudely at all), but I'm not sure you do understand what I'm saying, given your comment. My very point is that he cares less about being open than about the rhythm of his shot. In other words, Dirk feels as though a covered shot in rhythm has a better chance of going in than some of these open shots where he doesn't move into the shooting motion in the correct rhythm.
So, given that, I don't believe that "shoot it every time" is the correct advice. Obviously, an open shot in rhythm is the best choice; but with the way Dirk shoots behind his head anyway, a covered shot in rhythm is preferable to a open shot out of rhythm.

I hate the small ball, but we don't have anyone else to play.
