I would agree with Art Garcia, Skin and Stein.
Earl Kay Sneed is good, but if you already follow Bryan you're going to get 99% of the same info, if not all it and more. And if you follow them both your in-game feed gets very cluttered.

If you already follow Bryan, you never get a chance to see ANYONE else's tweets.

I sift through my feed and read tweets that stand out.
It's not that bad.

I'm on twitter and you are all welcome to follow me (@LonghornDub), and some of you already have, but I never tweet. Maybe I'll start someday, though.
Actually I have two tweets ever and they were both to Followill, asking him to say "Cleveland Steamer" on air during a Mavs-Cavs game.
He said no.

I went a really long time without tweeting, but now that I actually have a web of people of whom I follow and they follow me, I enjoy throwing stuff out on Twitter.
I actually find it to be a nice release during the games. The GDT's are a bit to over the top for me, so I like being able to throw out a thought here and there during the game.
BTW, this seems like a good place to mention that during the playoffs, if there's some kind of problem on the board (a troll that needs banning or something along those lines), feel free to DM me on twitter. That might get my attention faster than a reported post.

As you've probably noticed, I've come around on this myself.

I have indeed. I freaking love Twitter during big Mavs games. I love interacting with the DM.com members, and I love following the reactions of the very intelligent NBA blogging community.
I used to watch every single Mavs game on delay, but wanting to follow Twitter during the game has completely changed that. And dang it if Mark Cuban didn't predict this over a year ago in one of his blog posts. He predicted that live, "community" events like Twitter surrounding television events was the one thing that could battle time shifting, and dang if he wasn't right.

Join Twitter and follow people. Most of the regular posters on Twitter have posted their handles in this thread. Mine is the incredibly creative @jthig32.

Totally agree. Had to watch tonight's on delay because I actually wasn't home, and I kept picking up my phone to check twitter - then would remember that I would spoil the game. I so wante to tweet like 50 things about harden's flop.

Not a big tweeter, but trying to get in on this social phenomenon before it's not cool anymore. Nice to put some faces with people.

Ah, didn't realize there was a list in the first post. I just increased my "twittering" by like 15%.

I don't tweet very much. Only made the thing a couple of months ago. And I just increased the number of people I follow by like 50%.

http://twitter.com/about
I personally use it as a way to get sports news quickly and I like being able to communicate with sports writers / athletes if I want to.
It makes any live sporting event better... Sort of like a GDT except you only see posts from people you choose to follow.

Damn it... I forgot my beginning and this ending tag:

The link to the "about" page was a joke. I know everyone knows what twitter is by now.
I figured your angle was that Twitter is dumb... which is where I was at until I realized the sports/entertainment ramifications of it... hence me explaining my usage.

I know what Twitter is, but i don´t really know how it works.
Register and provide a phone number, then you can send twitter messages to your twitter page and you receive a sms when other Twitterers post something on your page ?

I signed up for twitter solely for sports updates and FFB updates.
Now i'm pretty much hooked. I don't follow that many people, though.
