Yea, meanwhile we are too loyal. Dorian, Maxi, and Powell especially, are role players who occasionally have games good enough to warrant starting. We rely on them too heavily. Nico needs to make a cpl moves. Sorry to the loyal guys who try hard here but no one aside from JB and Luka can dribble a fn ball.
Getting off KP and Powell would be optimal but I don't think Cuban has ANY interest in the sunk cost involved with KP. Flip his ass for Ben Simmons at this point. I'd rather see him at the FT line here than KP on the bench...or failing to post up a random 6'3'' guard.

I don’t think we’re getting a Simmons or McCollum for KP. I don’t even think we’re getting Wiggins for KP.
We’re stuck with his garbage contract, point blank period. We might not be able to make significant changes to this roster until 2024. Better hope we hit on our draft pick this upcoming year.

Last thoughts: our best bet to improve this offseason is probably Mitchell Robinson in free agency, draft someone who can score, and extend Brunson and DFS. All of that requires Cuban not to be a cheap ass. I am honestly not hopeful.

Getting talent for KP? We would need to send 2 1st round picks with him for a big expiring. Get real, guys. KP is either the worst, or the 2nd worst contract in the league (behind Bertans).

I think you could add John Wall and Kevin Love to that list, but point taken. KP contract is a killer.

I have little interest in extending DFS. That's exactly why we are in the boat we are in. Overpaying guys that don't make us contenders. You only do that if you know you can make upgrades elsewhere.

Point taken, but I disagree we have the leverage to let any assets go with nothing in return. We don’t have to keep everyone, but we have to get at least a pick in a sign and trade.

I'm here also. DFS is fine but you can find those guys. The overpay and overplay bit is so tiring.

This is Cuban's way of masking his cheapness under the guise of loyalty to his players. The average fan will complain that Cuban is to loyal to his players. This paints him in a much more positive light than the truth about him being a loud-muthed billionaire who won't step up to the plate and spend what it takes to surround his generational talent with a talented roster.
He swung for the fence once with KP, and ironically signed him for a larger contract than was necessary, so now he's going to try and not lose money each year and make it to the playoffs. First round exits and at least 3 more years of wasting Luka's talent are what fans have in their future.
I am so sick of Cuban that I'm having a hard time tuning in for the games.
Yes, I'm that beaten down, and I don't think I'm alone. I feel bad for Luka professionally even though his bank account won't be suffering.

That theory might hold water if he wasn't overpaying his players. The average fan...lol. Even if that were true, it doesn't paint him in a better light. Literally no fan average or super IQ would rather have an over loyal owner who loses than an obnoxious loud mouth billionaire who wins.

I don't disagree with this, but an over loyal owner goes over better with fans than a loudmouthed billionaire who won't spend to win. Yes, he overpays his players, but he has to spend a minimum amount.

I’m having a hard time tuning in because I can’t get Bally Sports without switching to a different cable provider. I’m still not over how difficult it is for me to watch my local team on tv. Instead I’m stuck watching shitty streams every week that seem to cut out at the end of games. Cubans solution was to offer a discount to season ticket holders who are likely at the game, and the first 10,000 fans to sign up. I guess he forgot there are about 6 million people in DFW.
