The Mavs are keeping the Warriors in the game. They can't hold onto the ball.
9 steals for the Dubs in the first half.

No reason not to have a shotblocker out there.

The Warriors should be feeling good.
They've been outplayed in every facet of the game the first half and they're only down by 7.
The Mavs had so many dumb turnovers. Mind boggling.

And with 20 seconds left you elect to have Singleton shoot a corner 3?
The Mavs have played well so far. But why do they have to make the game so hard?
The Mavs need to protect the basket and rebound against the Warriors.. Keep a center out there. And grab the boards. That is the way to beat them.
Why does Dallas always insist that Dirk play center? He is bad there. He is not a shotblocker and he has poor lateral movement. You set your team up to fail when you play him there.
And offensively could they quit making JJ Barea the friggin' point guard if Kidd is in the game. Barea cannot pass. And he can't shoot so his penetration is moot. Besides that his penetration is moot anyway because he gets his sh*t knocked into the second row most of the time.

The last thing you want to do is give the Warriors confidence they can win this game. It's a shame to give up that kind of lead when they had no answer for you.
Cut those turnovers out and get down to business.

That's funny. My box score show's zero blocked attempts for JJ.

Well he got his shot blocked a bunch in GS. He hasn't really attempted one inside the free throw line tonight.

I have to say I like those GSW commentators. They aren't homers, they are very fair and they don't have a problem to laud Dirk.

We shouldn't wonder much about Morrow. he is the best 3PT-shooter in the NBA right now, 50 percent I think.

Dampier is killing on the glass. Staying big is just so damn important against the Warriors.

They really aren't bad objectively. They'll even call out their own players and admit when GS gets away with a call.
But fortunately for me, LP broadband has the Dallas guys.

I hate Wright shooting 3 pointers. Dirk on that last play needed to push him a little more when he had the ball. They are in the penalty. Draw the foul.

It just burns me that Damp will get the ball right at the goal, and then throw it way back out. And we got no points out of the possession. He needs to take the ball up and dunk it, or get to the line.

Dirk needed to take that one in as well. He was semi open. Get to the rim considering they are in the penalty. Force the issue.

Barea used the rim nicely on that layup. And he didn't get it packed. He hasn't taken it to the shotblocker yet. That is a good thing. He doesn't have the size or leaping to finish against the shotblockers. And he doesn't have a runner/tear drop.

Yes, me too. I wonder if Carlisle thinks he is not fast enough up and down the court vs GS.

Not sure why Hollins can't play tonight though either. He is a guy that can get up and contest Ellis at the rim. He can finish around the rim.

You certainly don't want Barea getting 48 minutes but wow, you need some points, you just give him a few minutes and he'll get you a handful.

The Warriors were talking about the Mavs being 28th in the league on three pointers. The reason is simple: the wrong guys shoot them.
Barea/Wright/Singleton shoot more 3s than they should. And it kills the Mavs percentages.

Kevin Garnett only played 16 minutes tonight. Did he get hurt?
Maybe Hollins will get some time, now. Against athletic teams it only makes sense to play an athlete against them. Especially one that will protect the paint and finish lobs.

I'd have Hollins picking and rolling all night long against this team.
