His showing was excellent for a player in the equivalent of his first preseason game. When he is in game shape we will see the shot blocking and defensive intimidation in the paint. So far so good.

You shoulda dunked it on that last reverse basket.
Otherwise, you did have a decent first game offensively at least. It's nice to say that the Mavs actually have a decent low post game now with Zaza and Javale.

So what is the market for him now? 50 or 70 million?

JaVale is a very capable athlete. I hope he takes the time to focus on the boring aspects of the game. From the playing standpoint it's not fun learning every little aspect, but if he does he can land a very nice contract. I wish him the best.

8. McGee will be gone before his guarantee date. The exact quote was "There is a reason everyone else gave up on this guy too. He's just never going to get it." And this one "He is a far superior athlete to Tyson Chandler and should be a borderline HoF talent, but he has the mindset of a child and doesn't seem to care. We told him he's lost on so much money and his response was 'But I made more than anyone ever needs.' The dude just doesn't care."

I am surprised that he is not driven by either a championship or money. I am curious what he does for fun. To be fair he is worth a good sum of money, and he can probably maintain a nice lifestyle off that sum. There are those seeking their first million and may never get it. He's well exceeded that amount.
The only problem that he may not see yet is that he will never make more money than he can make right now. There may be something very expensive that he wants one day that he cannot afford only because he didn't apply himself a tad bit more while it is within reach today.

Where is the guy that uses his name on the forum when you need him? This should be his time to shine!
