Walker continues to be a really enigmatic player. He goes all of the way to the hoop and he finishes well. If he has to pull up forget it, he throws up the ugliest stuff. Really a funny player.

It's called basketball. It's what shaq plays, it's what duncan plays. If you are thinking that dirk is scoring like duncan and shaq we are definitely not watching the same game.

If you take walker 3s points out, he would be 6 for 10 right now. Nellie should tell walker to stop taking 3s.

NOW you have a gripe, three trips down to fin, 2 he converted that last three was ill-advised...
This team must get some bulk inside for just these occasions. Wouldn't you know that fortson is home.

The ball should touch Dirk's hand every single time down the court in crunch time. That it the way that teams win championships. Dirk should get the ball and, if if he passes it out, he should get the ball get back. Dirk is a BETTER scorer than Duncan or Shaq, in that he is a much superior shooter and turns the ball over very infrequently.

RE:Mavs X Bucks Game 2
Blame Nellie all you want, but the players have to take a lot of responsibilty. Dirk and Antwan Jamison are atrocious this year on defense. Both are two of my favorite players in the league, but they are a big time liability on defense. Dirk is always a step slow and is getting abused by Skinner and Godzilla. Jamison gets overpowered by PF and out quicked by small forwards. Nash is a defensive liablity too, but Dirk has to figure out how to guard the likes of Brian Skinners if this team has any chance in the playoffs.
Nellie has tried to hide this teams defensive liabilities for several years, but Dirk being a top 10 player has to play better on the defensive side of the floor. And don't give me the crap that he is playing out of position. Skinner is 6'9 and is really a power forward. I like Skinner as a player and have played against personally several times, but he should have no business outplaying Dirk. He wouldn't do it to Garnett. If that is the company dirk wants to be included in he has to step up.

Sorry but your definition of "crunch time" is the whole game. Dirk is NOT a better scorer than duncan or shaq, he doesn't pass the ball better than either one for example. He also cannot really get the kind of position that is needed to play like you think.

Its these kind of games where the Mavs are missing length. The Mavs need length to help on the boards. Someone needs to contain Gadzuric.

Did I say that Dirk was a better passer than Duncan or Shaq?
I think not.
He is a better scorer. He is simply hampered by Don Nelson.
Need evidence? Look at the the playoffs of the last few years. 42 points in the elimation game in 2001 vs. the Spurs. 46 points vs. the Blazers in game 1 vs. the Blazers in 2003. 42 points in game 3. 30 and 15 in back to back elimination games.
Get the ball to Dirk. That is the best advice anyone could possibly give to Don Nelson.
