RE:Mavericks at Houston Gameday Thread
The Mavs on offense act like they forgot their roles. I know Dirk and Finley are out but some of these guys should know not to throw some of the garbage they are throwing up. Josh and Marquis should never shoot jumpers. Terry has become too unselfish. I wouldn't mind seeing him become more of a ball hog this game. I don't know how the Mavs think they are gonna win this game being down by 7 and T-Mac hasn't even shown up yet.

We miss 8 fricken shots in a row, and Nellie just sits there and looks up at the score board.

RE: Mavericks at Houston Gameday Thread
Dang shawn really can look horrible on offense....
This!!! is a problem I have with nelson. He has sat and watched his team throw up crapola and get to a 10 point deficit.
Has anyone ever heard his theory on this? I know he wants the players themselves to work things out or does he just think shots either fall or don't?

Just out of curiosity, has anyone actually seen Stack hit a 3-pt shot, ever? I've read about it in the box score, but never have I seen it.

RE: Mavericks at Houston Gameday Thread
this team has nothing in its bag.
28% FG, 14.3% 3pt%, 7Tos, outrebounded by 7....
if the Rockets were shooting better than 42%, I'd think that this game was exactly like the previous few

KVH really seems to not have much lift. I don't know if that is his ankle problem or not, but not much lift at all.

Yea that's the part that sucks. We are getting teams out of funks. Chances of us winning this game without Dirk, Finley and Dampier were't very good in the first place but atleast put up a fight. The game is far from over though. Mavs still got some scorers out there. DA has got to be hurt because Nellie usually throws him in that 2nd quarter. When we need a boost off the bench you'd think Nellie would go with him now.

Least amount ever scored by a Mavs team in the 2nd qtr is 10 points against Portland in 99...I say we go for the record here..

Must have gone something like this....
Finley: Man...I know w are losing because the team health is an issue, but didn't we just rape the Bucks o nthe KVH trade?
Dirk: No doubt about it. We totally jobbed those losers by obtaining a HUGE upgrade at backup PF and jettisoning only a dead weight tweener in Booth.
eyes meet......they realize how much of a steal they got and then smile together as a refreshing positive thought pervades the air.
Good point rakesh.

Damn are the Mavs gonna even score 60 for the game? I'm not sure which I prefer. Us shooting free throws or mid rangers because we suck at both today.

yep and then they realized how a first round exit might be reality and it went something like this:
Dirk: Oh man, my knee hurts...We got Van Horn and he isn't gonna do squat but hey he is making 16 mill this year..So Nellie will play him instead of a center and we'll get bounced in the playoffs.
Fin: I hear ya, bro. <smile>
Dirk: It's all good though..After all, I am on Punk'd tonight. <smile>
