Blowout win turns into a buzzer beating win in philly. Turns into a blowout loss in Milwaukee. Turns into a blowout win in Detroit. Turns into a blowout loss in Boston. Turns into a potential blowout win at home against GS?
wtf is going on with us.

I get home from work and see a 20 point lead.
How refreshing.

It looks good tonight but I really hate the Bass/Dirk combo together. Against good quality teams, that lineup will be exposed defensively. And offensively they will get in Dirk's space and play a big on Bass, negating a lot of his scoring.

I believe that is the Mavericks in a nutshell: inconsistent.
You better watch out for a GS run. I think Dallas still takes this but it might not be as pretty as we'd like.
4 people in double figures not named Dirk is a nice stat. They're really making them pay so far.

If GS keeps up some of that awful shot selection they exhibited in the last few minutes of the half they won't go on a run.
If Maggette gets to the FT line 20 times in the second half instead, then I could see it.
Nellie looked really beaten down at the half.

Btw, Dirk's rebounding lately has been pretty putrid. It doesn't matter much tonight but he is barely cracking 6-7 rebounds in the last two weeks.

Quit shooting jumpshots, Dirk! Geez. You are 1-7 this quarter and the only one you made was a layup. Quit shooting jumpers. Quit being soft against them. Take it inside.

So? Just because they are up by 21 doesn't mean you shoot just "mail it in"....

... also, he's one of the best jumpshooters in the league and he normally makes those. players get cold. it happens. it's still a good shot because dirk's taking it.

And the Mavs are going back to the line because they are attacking the rim again. That is what Dirk should have been doing earlier and the lead could have been around 30.

It would be nice if Carlisle would allow some of the other guys to go ahead and play. Doubt he does it though.

Give the guys maybe 4-5 game minutes at the most and then hand it over to the bench.
GS really just doesn't look into it tonight. Do they still not have a fast break point yet?

The thought of dirk driving makes me laugh.

Dirk didn't have to drive per se, he just had to use his size in the post. He had several opportunities in the 3rd to do that. He didn't do it.

So if the Mavs continue to blow them out... with the way the week has gone that would mean they get blown out by Miami

Finally we play like a quality team. Hope we can preserve this somehow.

The comp had something to do with it. The way the Mavs have been playing that Dallas Christian school would give them a run for their money.

Don't give it to Hollins 20 feet from the hoop.
