Since the Regular season is winding down..what Predictions? Comments? Thoughts? for awards this season?

Here are mine:

MVP:
Kobe Bean Bryant. His team is playing well, He is playing well. Best player in the game for years. Give him his due.
Honorable Mention(s):
Chris Paul. Thus far #1 seed in West. 20+pt, 10+ast 2+stl.
Kevin Garnett: Celtics Record, totally changed the direction, emotions, feeling of a franchise.

Defensive Player of the year
Kevin Garnett - anchors #1 D in the league. His fiery attitude makes everyone hustle
Honorable Mention:
Eric Dampier - just for kicks and because of the cbs sportsline article.

Most Improved Player / Comeback Player
Hedo Turkeylegs - This guy increased his #s in every significant category. Takes all the big shots at end of games (not rashard or dhow). He is a huge reason why the Magic are where they are.
Honorable Mention:
Lamarcus Aldridge - well on his way to be a consistent 20/10 guy every night.


Rookie of the Year
Kevin Durant - my homer (Texas) pick -- find me another 19 year old who can score 20 points while drawing the opposing team's best defender every night. Once he learns to rebound & get bigger (like Dirk did) he is going to be scary good. Look at his stats for March. Usually rookies get worse as the season progresses. not KD.
Honorable Mention:
Al Horford - double double machine. But he has alot of good players on his team that draw attention away from himself.

Exec of the Year
Mitch Kupchack - got Pau Gasol for free. need we say more?

Coach of the Year
Byron Scott / Doc Rivers - because of increase in wins & best records
Honorable Mention:
Mo Cheeks - 76ers making the playoffs? a young team who lost their best player last year. He did a great job.

6th Man of the Year
Manu Ginobili
Honorable Mention:
Leandro Barbosa
