And the Lakers are playing pretty awful so far against a Jazz team without Okur.

L.A. is playing their starters, but they don't seem to be trying.

The Lakers would rather take the easy street like always in the playoffs and face either the Mavs or Hornets...I'm not even gonna watch the Lakers give the Jazz this game because there scared to face them in the first round.

Utah is a better team without Okur (not a joke). That being said I could care less about this game, Dallas will beat Houston at home by double figures.

Refs are really keeping Utah in it. They are calling a bunch of touch fouls. I don't think I've ever seen Kobe get that kind of treatment.

You know as well as the Mavs that what the Rockets did at home two days ago is pretty irrelevant.

30 free throws in the first half. And it isn't like Utah is just attacking the hoop. The way the game has gone, wouldn't surprise me to see Kobe get his 4th foul early in the 3rd quarter.

Charles giving Utah too much love. L.A. would rather play "softer" teams. It don't get softer than Utah.

Why is it assumed that the Mavs are automatically the weakest team in the playoffs?

Barkley was big on Utah at the beginning of the season. He'd always say they were one of the west contenders, along with LA and SA. Now that it's pretty obvious he was wrong (even if only because of their injuries this year), he's just being a stubborn bastard.

This is the position that we put ourselves in. thats why I would love to have an enforcer. I wanted Artest b4 Houston got him, but someone like that. Dallas is "considered" so soft that I think Mavs need to earn their respect a bit forcefully. We need a GOON.

It's less about Utah, and More about The Mavs having the SOFT label.

I certainly think the Mavs have a "soft" label, but Barkley is also a Utah homer--no doubt about it.

A lot of you guys are from Dallas or the Texas area, so the Mavs get a lot of attention and Love there. But where I'm from, Dallas is considered the SOFTEST team in recent NBA history. We all know why, it hurts too much to bring it up. Plus no one wants to watch the Mavs on National tv.
