bradley is simply going to have to play a major role in this series especially if the Mavs want to use the zone.

Mavs feeling their way so far, trying some different defensive schemes. The Kings are hot from the arc, but Mavs are doing okay.

It will be a blowout if they cannot guard Peja. Bring Josh in.

Getting outrebounded a little bit. The mavs really have to make sure that doesn't happen.

I think you have to go man to man against the kings unless bradley is in hte lineup.

They are playing better than the Mavs and the game is only a 2 point game.

Mavs getting minimal results from Nash & Fin so far....Fin doesn't need to get in a shooting contest with Peja....he'll lose....Nash hasn't been able to get to the bucket & finish or draw fouls...Mavs taking lots of jumpshots....Kings WILL NOT continue to be so hot hitting all their jumpers...Mavs need to hit the boards on both ends of the court and hang...Kings will cool off IF the Mavs don't give up too many easy layups that will keep the Kings confidence up and not have them feeling the pressure....

Kings shooting 14/21 from the floor in the 1st quarter. Ridiculous.

Shooting hasn't been an issue so far for the mavs. They're getting good looks and shooting a respectable percentage from the floor. But, the Mavs are allowing too much penetration and the Kings are finding the holes in the zone whether it's on the perimeter or on the inside.
I seriously cannot believe that the Mavs would be any worse off defensively going man to man which they have done from time to time in the first quarter.

If Bradley and Dirk play them and help the team a lot doing it, Walker should try at least to learn.

Like the pace of the game so far. One thing I would do though is let Vlade take the shots. Don't double him. I'm more afraid of Peja, Bibby and Christie hitting outside shots.

RE:GameDay thread: Mavs vs SadSacKings
As for defensive rebounding, the Mavs have been fine on that side. The Kings have 4 offensive rebounds. Three of them were from Webber on the same possession where Divac was blocked and the ball trickled to Webber where he was blocked twice by Dirk getting the board back both times.
