Asking for a copy of the parade route from last year is a serious low blow.

For what its worth--I may have said this before--

A parade cannot be responsibly planned in a day.

Every city with a team in the NBA Finals plans for a parade.

To do otherwise is playing with fire. You need to make sure that city departments are all on the same page with respect to fire/police/EMT branches of government.

Need to make sure that a program is laid out--your team has to do more than simply stand up, smile and wave.

And lets just be honest about this right now:

The FIRST NBA title that a team wins is always the most exciting for the fans. Man--I went out and bought a video camera in 1999 when SA won the first one--my nephews were so small back then--the memories are so cherished.

Everyone should have that experience. That's why if and when my own team becomes eliminated, I am pulling hard for the Mavs to take the title--keep it in Texas.

Besides--

All kidding aside--

I know that at times, I may grate on the nerves of some folks here.

But by and large--most of the Mav fans here among the most decent people I have ever had the pleasure to correspond with. I wish you the best. I really believe deep down this is your year.
