Great defense by the Mavs. Hopefully they can end the game with this same type of intensity.

No doubt Roddy will see a 0 on minutes played tonight, Rick cant have a Rookie making JJ look silly.

The only thing I can possibly think of is the mavs are refusing to play him so when we throw Gooden out, people wont demand Roddy in the deal. Keeping him a secret a little longer. That must be it, right?

And of course Dirk needs to make the shot if they double Kidd. Or at least give a fake and go to the rim, get to the line.

He didn't really block it. Battier sort of chunked it up without jumping and it was a shot clock violation. It was great defense by Barea and great team defense by the Mavs but I didn't really see the block.

I saw that on the game cast and figured he probably almost made it. It was listed as a 27 footer I think.

No, he definitely blocked it. It hit Barea's hand and went almost straight up. But still, Barea doesn't really get full credit for it because it was obviously a rushed shot.

You could be right. I didn't see the block but it could've been.

Dirk's just not in this game. He's not getting shots. He's getting some hands on some shots on defense but goodness. I think he's touched the ball more on defense than he has on offense.
