Nice strong foul by DSJ, didn't let him get the easy 'oop.

DSJ wants to play with Ayton so bad that he handed that ball to Danny Green.

@TravisRW: The line on this game was Spurs -6.5. Mavs cover. Covering is the new winning.

I don't like DSJ's 6 TOs vs 2 assists, but the 27 points were nice (10 in the last 2:17).

Dirk with 12/7/6 and a +1. Can't wait to hear how the loss was his fault.

I'm a fan of the kid, but scoring inefficiently with some stat stuffing at the end is hardly impressive.

We lost because Barnes/Yogi/Wes shot a combined 9-32, and we couldn't get a stop in the 4th quarter.
Don't know why anyone would blame Dirk for this one -- he was solid. Don't see any complaints about him in this thread, even... Why are you so insecure about criticisms aimed at Dirk, Andrew?

SMC seems to think Dirk shouldn't be playing...so...
Also, not sure who you're referring to?

Jesus Christ, are you still referring to that thread? So if I had an "off" opinion 2 years ago, will you hold it against me as if you haven't had some of the most psychopathic opinions in opinion history? Yep, that's how this works if you want to play this game. We'll dig up your former twitter account if that is the game you want to play.

SMC hasn't even posted in this thread.
And Andrew is a guy who fancies himself as a writer, but doesn't know how to change the tone of his voice so all of his characters end up sounding exactly like him... Not a very good writer, I guess.

@ESPNStatsInfo: Dennis Smith Jr. is the youngest player in @dallasmavs history with at least 25 points and 5 rebounds in a game.
@ESefko: Dirk Nowitzki said he fought a little right knee swelling last week and wore a sleeve on the knee Tuesday. Said he felt much better.
@IsaacHarrisNBA: “He had some good blocks. He’s an active big & that’s good for them” -Aldridge on Mejri

To be fair his teammates absolutely suck and a lot of his TOs were from driving fluidly and either missing an open layup or having three Spurs cheating off other players there to swat it away or block it.
Smith will make open layups eventually and if he gets a decent team there won’t be as many players to greet him inside for the slap away/block
