We need to keep JET and RC on this team, we can all weather this storm together. We'll get a championship someday.

RC seems totally emotionless on the bench there. Something is not right.

Congrats Spurs...but you didn't win the game, the Mavs won it for you....
Long off season coming up for Mavs....
I don't think Carlisle gets fired...However; I think he will be on a short leash early next season...
I know many of us wouldn't blame Dirk if he left, but realistically, I wonder if he would.

They'll have to beat the Lakers. Not so sure I'd call that easy...

The overall better team won.
Our players might be individually better, but in average they lost focus too often down the stretch. But I agree with everybody else that the big elephant in the room is the huge amount of bad coaching decision. In this aspect a lot reminded me to the Golden State series....

Duncan, Ginobili, Parker, Hill...they're just more talented. This a general manager failure. Those four guys give them a better roster if they're going to play like this. I can't wait to see how the Lakers do against the Spurs (if the Spurs can keep it up.) That ought to shut everyone up.
The Mavs played great. The Spurs played better. Let's just deal with it and move on to the next 50 win season.

I'm really at a loss as to how you could have watched this series and come away with the notion that the Mavs played great.
I think there's some truth in other areas of your post, but the Mavs played great? No.

The better coach won. Our players had to little focus to start games, not down the stretch, and too few of them played sub-par for the entire series.

I was saying all along that we should have played Roddy more minutes during the regular season so he would be ready come playoff time. We could have really used him more this series...

Well I'm tired of being stuck on the same ride 8 years in a row. I'm all about the championship. What good is a message board if we can't criticize?

I think they are subconsciously taking it easy like they did against Houston last year. The real Lakers are going to stand up against San Antonio - I'll guarantee that...

Can you imagine Pop playing Roger Mason instead of Hill for the series? Good grief. Can you imagine Pop having his players so unready that they lay a turd for an entire quarter? In multiple games?

If they wanna keep floating with doing things in the Spurs-like form...seeds clearly don't matter for this squad: just do enough to get in the playoffs but build your rotation, build confidence in your bench players, ride through the mistakes...so on, so forth

This is my official withdrawl of the Dallas Mavericks, years and years of this shit takes a toll on one's heart. God bless you Dirk Nowitzki, I truly truly hope you get that ring one day man, wheather it's in Dallas or wherever. I honestly have no idea who to root for now.

I'm with you dude. I dig being hopeful and having some optimism. But there should be one goal and one goal only at this point for a Mavs fan and that's winning a title. The window is getting closer and closer to shutting for the Dirk era Mavs. As a team they've accomplished every goal there is to accomplish. We've yet to get that title though.
So while there's optimism, there will always be that doubt with a lot of fans and rightly so. I don't see why that's such a bad thing. While there's been a lot of success, there's also been a ton of heartbreak in the past 6-7 years.

Tough game to watch.
Tough way to end a season.
Unsure of any moves Dallas might make.
I know the feeling of tension and anger I feel is felt a million fold by Cuban.

You weren't "criticizing." You weren't offering anything constructive, criticism or otherwise. You were showing up every 10 or so minutes to make some half-assed remark about how the game/season was almost over, even when the game was still very much in doubt.
You wanna offer up some substantive criticism? Go for it. But stop pretending like that's what you were doing. You weren't doing anything other than injecting unnecessarily negative vibes for absolutely no productive purpose.

I think he has to in order to keep Dirk. I don't see RC going anywhere, but hopefully he learned something useful in regards to not giving more burn to Roddy in the regular season. Jet killed us tonight. I am of the opinion that he is a loser, but perhaps that's too harsh. As soon as he came into the game late, the Spurs targeted him and his pathetic defense. It was like watching sharks in a feeding frenzy. As so many have posted here over the past few years, when his shot isn't falling, he is a huge liability. Hopefully that is now cemented and this franchise can move on.

Well I don't see how you think it's any different from "OMG PLAY RODDY" "Why the hell is Barea on the floor!" "Fire Carlisle!" "If Roddy played we would have won this series!". I mean I've been hearing that and putting up with it for the whole f'ing season so I don't see why I shouldn't be able to make similar remarks.
