Dunleavy to the Bulls per Stein, 2 for 6. I'm probably the only one who cares where he's going, but I think that's a smart pickup for Chicago.

No... I think you are right. He is a very nice glue guy. He shoots pretty well. He can pass. He is unselfish. Besides defense the only knock is his health.

If Rose is healthy the Bulls look good.

Very nice signing for them. Wonder if this means Deng is gone soon?

Probably the plans are sort of defined.

A DHoward and maybe something like Bledsoe and Korver
B RRondo and maybe something like ABynum and TAllen
C MEllis and two-one year rentals
D Let Dirk go and tank baby tank

"D" needs to include a hose, some duct tape, a car, a garage, a Mavs gameday guide from 1990 with Fat Lever on the cover, and a CD featuring some of Shostakovich's piano concertos. Not necessarily in that order.

I was thinking it should be signing Luke Walton and Kaman for a max contract instead.

And Dun is actually a great team defender. Helps and funnels well. He just gets beaten one-on-one a lot.

Nice Shostakovich reference- I'm willing to venture thats a first on Mavs.com.
Since it's the loss of the German we're talking about I'd go with Lizst's The Black Gondola

I'd be willing to bet that there haven't been too many Lizst references here either. I love Lizst. I had a friend who studied piano at UNT, and the Sonata in B Minor almost gave him a nervous breakdown. I have no earthly idea how anyone can keep up with that piece. I always felt guilty watching how hard the guys who played actual instruments had it. I could sleepwalk through my vocal performance classes.

Yeah the Sonata in B minor is awesome and intense. There's this band from Denton/UNT that i've been digging called Midlake. Familiar with them? "Trials of Van Occupanther" is one of my favorite albums of recent years.

I am all in for an OJ Mayo and Eric Bledsoe trade. Get rid of Mayo who doesn't fit in our system and pick up a potential all star PG.

Yes I am. They opened the fantastic Bar Paschall on the square in Denton and it was my favorite place to enjoy a fine adult beverage. It was really the only place in town that wasn't filled with college students.

http://www.dallasobserver.com/2011-1...s-square/full/

The band members occasionally drop by and are very friendly and accessible. I would highly recommend it for anyone swinging by Den-Den. I live in Fort Collins, Colorado now, and there is no shortage of amazing pubs, bars, and breweries to choose from. And interestingly enough, Midlake was being played at one of my favorite dives here a few weeks ago, and I thought about how awesome Bar Paschall is. You gotta love those synchronicities.

As far as their music goes, I have all of their albums and their music has an honesty and purity about it that has always appealed to me.

So what time today does the meeting and signing of D. Howard to the Mavs happen?

Get Dwight Howard completely wasted, than hand him the contract to sign.

If he refused Mark can give him that stare and say "I'm out"

Just like on Shark Tank

Doc Rivers and Mayo meeting for lunch today. Maybe the Mavs can swing a deal and show Howard. (Bledsoe may not be great but it might be something that puts the Mavs in favor a la Joe Johnson did in DWill's opinion.)

Latest Mavs free agent news according to Yahoo Sports:

Mavs inquiring SNT deal with Clippers (Mayo for Blesoe) but "Talks, however, have yet to reach the serious stage."

Jarrett Jack began negotiating a contract with Warriors. Jack has also been contacted by the Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks...Carl Landry has also received interest from the Mavericks.

Other news on agents some had viewed Dallas should chase:

Houston Rockets told Josh Smith hey will make him a contract offer if they don’t sign Dwight Howard.

Sources say Doc Rivers strongly inclined to keep Bledsoe. Look for Clips to offer Caron Butler or JCrawford instead if necessary to get Mayo

Shamsports has Crawford's deal as unguaranteed after the 2013/14 season. Anybody know the deets on that?
