My wife has forced me to stick with "Dollhouse" these many weeks...it's finally getting good with 3 or 4 VERY solid episodes in a row. Not sure why they started off so bland and sh!tty...
Just another example of why every single show out there should go for a more mythology heavy approach. Week by week doesn't work any more. It's boring.
Dollhouse has been tackling more background/mythology heavy stuff lately, and it's working.

That is unfortunate.... because it was already good before last nights awesome episode... I can't wait for next week. I hope they at least let the rest of the season play out.
I hate American TV watchers. Maybe to save chuck they could put 5 minute "reality" bits in where viewers see who can slice a banana into 15 pieces the fastest. Maybe then the ratings would soar. And then for a season finale they could do a 10 minute bit where the banana bits from all the episodes have to be eaten by the one that did it the fastest or somesuch. I smell a winner.

For people who watch FRINGE....Apparently Leonard Nimoy's going to be on the show in some capacity. That's pretty awesome.

No NBC has not (yet) cancelled Chuck but it is still not sure whether the series get renewed…
With that said, fans of Chuck will not be happy. But a CW insider can tell www.series.nu exclusive that Dawn Ostroff, President of Entertainment of The CW likes Chuck. And if NBC cancels the series, there is a chance that The CW take over Chuck.

I hear that about pretty much every series I get interested in and gets canceled (off the top of my head I can think of 2 recent shows, Pushing Daisies and Jericho)... that either CW or SciFi will scoop it up. But that never happens.
What series has CW ever taken over? I can think of none.

The newest Chuck was really good. I don't believe it will ever get good ratings though being on at 7 at monday. Terrible time slot. Also, I don't see how you can accurately rate shows these days with DVRs/Tivo and the internet. I mostly watch Chuck on hulu online.
Lastly, networks are going to have to start to come up with titles of shows that give more insight onto what type of show the viewer will be watching. "Chuck" gives 0 description and sounds boring. Every person who I have recommended Chuck to who haven't seen it know positively nothing about it. I only watched and got into the show because of these message boards.

Who were you being courteous to?
I watched episodes 2 and 3 of Comedy Central's new series “Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire” and it's DVR worthy if nothing else. There were a handful of laugh out loud moments. For those that enjoyed HBO's Little Britain, the fat guy is the villain in this show.

I watched Fringe at lunch today. Interesting, huh.... I guess we can't talk about it?
Is it in danger of being axed? If it isn't maybe we should start a thread for it because I'd like to find out peoples thoughts on last night.

I'm just asking for no spoilers on the over arcing mysteries of the series. I'm sure you could talk about a lot of the day-to-day stuff without spoiling much.
And in my original request I mentioned perhaps starting a thread if you wanted to discuss it. I'm down with that.

I think Murph has mentioned it before...but I can't think of anyone else. Too bad...it's a good show.
I guess everyone else here just turns the tv off right when american idol ends before Fringe starts
edit: Which reminds me. thig...they've been starting the show late the last two weeks because idol runs over. Incredibly annoying. So if you've just been setting the DVR you won't have all of what you need. Last week in particular was a good 5 or 6 minutes off.

I haven't seen the last couple of episodes of Fringe.... I'll catch up at some point, but it's not high on my TV priority list right now. Sure, it's one of my shows, but not one of the top 5 or anything.

I'm in on it. Like Murph I'm two shows behind but that's not unusual for me. House and Friday Night Lights are the only current shows that never go above 1 on the DVR.

I love House and FNL... two absolutely great shows. I do think that House has some mediocre writing at times, but it just doesn't matter simply because the lead character is a briliant actor and this role is perfect for him.
As for FNL, it's just a wonderfully acted and written drama. It's also odd that a show based upon "high school" kids does such an incredible job with what the adult storylines.

The final 4 Eli Stones will begin airing 6/20/09
Got the information for both from TV.com.

do you think they will tie it into the show (like Lisa Kudrow)?
or will they continue to try to hide it?

no way they should tie it in. I loved how they did it with Lily - with a big wink at the audience. Hiding her behind globes, basketball, etc. And then having her take a 4 week hiatus because of a nasty joke.

I happened to be flipping channels and came across some new show on Fox called "Sit down Shut Up". It made me giggle for a second and was clearly very...different, so I hit record.
I watched it just now, and I'm slightly embarrassed to say...it was pretty funny. Ridiculously stupid, but kind of funny. It's animated, but the backgrounds are real pictures of live action places.

Along with Fox's sci-fi duo, the most discussed bubble show online is NBC's "Chuck," which finally showed a ratings uptick this past week but is still performing marginally despite a strong fan base. The dramedy's chances also have been hurt by the promising start of NBC's police drama "Southland," as the network will have only few hourlong slots in the fall when Jay Leno takes over the 10 p.m. hour every night.
Another NBC Monday series, the modestly rated but reliable procedural "Medium," is said to have slightly better odds to return than "Chuck," while the quirky cop drama "Life" is expected to join "Kath & Kim" on cancellation row.

So I'm going to lose Chuck and Life, and Lost won't return until February obviously.
I hope Southland sticks, I've enjoyed the first two episodes of it.
