JJJ is no slouch and seems to be playing really well.
I always thought the Gasol/JJJ combination was just too good for them to pass up, but now they're trying to trade Gasol, so who knows? Hell, I personally had JJJ ranked higher than Luka last summer... I was wrong, and if Memphis also saw it that way, then they were wrong too.

Did he? I remember him balking at Sacramento and Phoenix, saying he consider another year in Europe if either of those teams drafted him... But I'm pretty sure we were still projected to pick #3 at the time, so I don't recall Memphis coming up.
