@ShamsCharania: As reported on @TheVertical's show: Kent Bazemore planned to hold off meetings until July 5, but has now entered room with the Rockets.
@ShamsCharania: Houston star James Harden is attending the Rockets' meeting with free agent Kent Bazemore tonight, sources tell The Vertical.

They can have Bazemore. I don't really get the draw to him other than just being a tier 3 guy who will get paid handsomely because he doesn't totally suck.

They probably coulda had Zaza for 6-8 million if that.
Noah hasn't played a game since January 14.
Hilarious that Simmons just made fun of the Knicks on his show for going after players well after their prime.......

@WojVerticalNBA: Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak reached out on Mozgov at 12:01 AM, league sources tell @TheVertical. Centers could move on the market quickly.

Lakers are clearly desperate, and Mozgov would be crazy not to take it.

It feels like the mid-2000's all over again- teams are desperate for any upgrade they can get, so average to outright mediocre players are getting paid like superstars.

It would be hilarious if he can't find someone to pay him more than that.

16 million a year for the current Mozgov is ridiculous no matter what the market is. But I guess after Noah contract that it set the market for washed up centers.

Mozgov 4/65 to Lakers? Jebua. The dude barely even played in the finals. Do the Lakers not know that even though he's getting a ring, he basically didn't contribute?

All kidding aside, losing Mozgov I think does hurt the Cavs a little even though he only played garbage minutes in the playoffs. Even if he wasn't the guy for them, I think they do need a traditional big man as rim protector/shot blocker.

What I don't understand is how the hell this crazy spending is sustainable. Didn't we have a lockout just 4 years ago because the pay scale had gotten out of control and teams were losing money? How the hell did this happen? Is the NBA just making that much more money now than 4 years ago?
