Mavs looking like they are waiting for the PO to begin, no energy, hope they are resting while playing.

Should I trust a fast food chain to try and create foods that are more likely better served at the original location? (Referring to that New York/Chicago hot dog)

Sort of. And it looks like almost everyone outside of Dirk and Kidd got a fresh haircut.

I think I'm going mow hawk mode for the playoffs.

What has happened to the mavericks? Seriously. They don't look like the same team.

no penetration, no inside force, no defensive communication, no offensive selflessness, low intensity.

Clearly Corey Brewer should ride the bench for the whole playoffs.

I wish I knew
My theory is that our offense really wilted without Butler. Teams focused on Kidd and Kidd was really shut down because of his lack of speed. With Kidd's passing falling apart, our offense stagnated and guys felt less motivated to move without the ball and with that the team spirit of the squad fell apart taking our defensive pride and communication with it. Carlisle has tried to reingivorate the team with new offensive/defensive schemes but none work as well, particularly because this team is frustrated, suspicious and playing hesitant ball.
Just a theory.

Nice airball, Marion.
We should keep putting the ball in Dirk's hands...

It doesn't look like we're interested in playing. The playoffs couldn't get here sooner.

No way Marion airballed a three? He's a good three point shooter.

True. However, I think Dirk was still f*cked up that Nene wasn't called for an offensive foul one possession earlier. He elbowed Dirk in the head, but no call.

Maybe this whole mess is Carlisle trying to make Roddy a pointguard.

I hope Brewer gets the bulk of the minutes we all assumed Roddy was going to take in the playoffs. The kid really doesn't bring much to the table right now.

better to lead by example.
Its the kind of negative team communication that just wilts a team when we need solidarity and leadership most.

It's crazy what a little energy and effort will do. Appreciate Brewer trying to show he's got something.

He isn't comfortable. In fact most Mavs look uncomfortable. Haywood should not play until he gets his free throw under control. No playing time whatsoever.

energy is what he brought in MIN and its what he has to bring here to get PT. I just love his energy particularly when no one else is bringing passion. If we could only have Brewer and Chandler both playing with firey intensity, it might kick the team into gear.
