I'm guessing no next move at this point.
Which is a total waste of Caron's expiring contract.

What are the chances that Deron resigns with NJ?...I mean they are even worse than Utah at this point

Who knows, but I certainly don't think it's a surefire thing that he re-signs there.

Can they also offer him a pre-CBA negotiation extension? Not sure what the rules on offering extensions are.

Me too bro...the thought of Kidd running PG next year is sickening
The thought of Peja starting at SF in the post season is also sickening.
Something has to be done about the backup PG and starting SF spots....IMO

I know...
Most everyone seems to have the "win now" mentality, and no, you don't need Devin now, but you also have to think about what you are going to do next year. An even older Kidd and possibly even no JJ, for all we know. We have absolutely NO future right now at the PG position; unless you count Roddy.

The Charlotte Bobcats seem intent on moving Gerald Wallace to a new team by the Thursday deadline and have aggressively courted the Mavericks, Rockets, Clippers, Pacers and Cavs. The asking price has been an expiring contract and a protected first-round pick.
So far they've been unable to get a team to bite, though there have been rumblings Wednesday morning that the Cavs may use their $14.5 million trade exception generated in the LeBron James sign-and-trade this summer to land Wallace by the deadline.
Go get Crash, if there's one guy whe can use and realisticly get, it's him.

Regardless of the finer points that get negotiated, I think the new CBA will make it harder for premium FAs to change teams.

I like how Crash attacks the D, but his shooting is suspect. I would prefer we go after S-Jax but I don't think the FO considers him an option at this point.

So, if this is true, we wouldn't give up Butler and a future 1st rounder? That can't be. If so, WTF is Cuban thinking passing on these damn good deals? These are awfully close to "falling in your lap" kind of deals.

which would not only mean taking on 18/2yrs of Diaw
It would also mean sending out other pieces too. Haywood alone would work but Im not sure we're selling him and I'm pretty sure that the Cats would want more savings. If we dont send out Haywood, we're sending out 3-5 of our smaller contracts

Wouldn't be surprised if the Mavs make a late run on AK-47, pieces work to make it happen if Utah is ready to blow things up a little bit.
Mavs still looking at Prince too.
If you couldn't tell, Mavs were looking at Harris, Haywood and Beaubois as pieces to use

But if they become desperate to cut their losses....anything can happen.
As for Williams, it depends on the CBA and whether or not NJ is winning. Steven A Smith just twitted that Deron's not to happy about it, and he's flying out of Dallas.

AK would still be a decent fit.
Stevenson/Butler for AK. Utah saves a few million this year. Mavs keep cap flexibility, round out their forward rotation and have a solid A and B team.

Im sure Utah would love to have someone take Jefferson off their roster right about now. That was perhaps one of the biggest mistakes they've made other than firing Sloan and flipping their best player for scraps/picks

Now that's hot.
Tweets are saying that the Jazz's corporate office phones have been BLOWING UP with calls from everyone around the league trying to pry Millsap and Al Jefferson for cheap.

This team is still good and none of these trades benefit our competition. the only playoff team to get better is the Knicks who I can guarantee you won't come out of the East. And if Utah can't keep D-Will happy, I don't see how Williams will keep his head even 2 months with Avery and such a terrible team around him. D-Will will be demanding a trade like Carmello by next year.

No Melo, No Harris. Like in summer, there were rumors about players can join Mavs, but nobody of them joined Mavs. THX Donnie and Cuban, if Dirk go fishing after first round.
