Just in case you missed it: Harris would have come to Dallas if it would have been his choice ...
Needless to say that Harris isn't the piece that would make the difference between a first round exit and a deep run ...

This is so bizarre. But, lets face it...the Nets are desperate for anything that isn't what they are now. Let them use our own idea against us because we'll still be a contender, and they still suck.

Yes, please.
I like Prince too, but it doesn't sound like Dumars wants to ship him...

Since we missed out on Devin Harris, we should move on to the next ex-Mav...
Wizards shopping Josh Howard.

If the Mavs can get Wallace for Butler's K and one pick, I have no idea why the hell they haven't done that already.

Thats the rumor that I heard at least but it says nothing about it being enough to get the deal done. If its Butler/Dojo/1st for their best player and a borderline allstar and Charlotte agrees, you HAVE to pull that one off. If its
Butler/Dojo/1st and we have to take Diaw....and match Diaw's salary in the trade with our roster players...then that is a big stretch

$10.6mil next season and an $11.5mil player option in 12/13 - that's a lot of money to tie up in one guy over the next couple seasons, especially if you can get Butler back at a fraction of the price.
This could very well be the reason they're not pushing hard for Crash...

I think you gotta go for it. Too many variables at play, but the one thing you know for sure is that the Mavs are very good this year and could be extremely good with one additional piece.

Butler isn't exactly young and this is an injury serious enough that could effect his play for the rest of his career

But is it also worth Diaw and his albatross $9M is the question....

Hell no to Diaw - the only way we could match salaries is to include Terry or Haywood, which would thin us out at the 2 or 5 (not to mention we have almost ZERO use for him...)

Yes, but if you know anythings about Dirk... HE LOVES TO FISHING! He said one time that if he isn't playing basketball he has became world-class fisherman. That is his passion, aside from painting and horseback riding.

Diaw is fat and not very good. No thanks. Although I don't even know where his name popped up.

Charlotte doesn't want him so they are unloading him to whoever want's to pick up Jax or Crash.
Diaw is cock-blocking hardcore.

the only way I am even thinking about a deal with Diaw is if Charlotte includes Henderson and I highly doubt they would

I understand that in theory, but where did a reliable source say that? The tweet earlier said they were offering Wallace for an expiring K and a first rounder.

No confirmation as to why Dallas turned down Charlotte's offer of Gerald Wallace, but the two running theories are that they either wanted Roddy or they were trying to unload Diaw...
Both make sense.

Carey (Iringa, Tanzania)
Butler for G. Wallace seems like a no-brainer to me, why would Cuban pass on a deal like that? I understand its an extra year of paying Wallace but isn't he worth the doe?
Tim MacMahon (2:07 PM)
It's not one more year. It's two more years at $10.5 per for Gerald Wallace. He's not enough of an impact player to sacrifice that much financial flexibility, especially with the labor uncertainty on the horizon. Is Wallace really much of an upgrade over Shawn Marion?
Yes...I think Wallace is a upgrade over Marion, also Marion is our backup PF....Wallace would be the starting SF
