I like him but I really do think there is a gap after DSJ(monk as well) and Frank. And I think the gap between Frank and Mitchell isn't as big as the one from DSJ to Frank. If Mitchell was a year younger I'd take him over Frank personally.

I look at it as, if you throw a guy like DSJ or Monk in a typical draf they are top 5 picks. If you throw a guy like Frank, a major project, in a typical draft... he's probably being picked right around where he's supposed to... 8-12.

Jackson declines a workout with Boston, he doesnt want to play just 20min, so they are leaning towards Tatum.

Magic wont draft a PG with Payton/Augustin longterm under contract. At SG they have Fournier on a huge deal and T. Ross too. My guess is Isaac there

Wolves are a wildcard. SG and SF is set with LaVine and Wiggins. Looks like they are ready go give up on Rubio. And Dunn looks like a bust. So its Smith there. Cant see them being stupid enough to reach for Markkanen with Dieng and KAT longterm under contract.

Leaves us Monk. If the teams draft for themselves, without any trades.

Scott Layden?? Oh, he is probably just feeling a ton of pressure and wants to switch. Also, We all know Wes is a great locker room presence.

Agreed. And don't be surprised about the dark horse guys in Mitchell and Collins either. Esp Collins who reeks of an out of the blue Mavs choice.

We probably shouldn't get too excited or disappointed when we hear names before us or even our pick for that mater because some of the teams ahead of us could be picking for us and vice versa.

Why would the Mavs trade up 2 spots for Isaac?? Seems like the only logical reason to leapfrog NYK is to guarantee that we get a PG.

It's all smokescreens right now, but I'm at least a little optimistic that their main target is DSJ over Frank.

According to Minnesota fans over at real gm all it would take to move from 9 to 7 is...

Rubio and 7 for Barnes and 9... but only if someone doesnt slide to them that they really want. That's all guys no big deal, we got this.

I could see trading #9/Seth for #7/Rubio (and possibly eating a contract) if we're gunning for Monk or Isaac -- or even Frank, since he'll need some time to grow -- but no way in hell we're trading Barnes for anything less than the #1 pick.

Any chance OKC might be interested in trading a pick for Wes? He might actually be a decent fit next to RWB.

I'd do Seth/9 for Rubio/7. Yeah, Barnes is a bit too much and makes no sense for them with Wiggins over there.

I wouldn't either. There is very clearly some rose colored glasses when it comes to trades and such. At least they have worked their way away from Rubio for #9 straight up, I saw a few posts talking about that before the Barnes one.

#9/Wes for #7/Shabazz? I'd jump all over that just to unload Matthews -- especially since Muhammad has just a $4.2m QO... We could keep him or let another team poach him, whatever. It gives us the option to pick up another FA even if we max out Noel.

Rubio is trash, would just get in the way of our draft pick's development... But at least we know Wes has trade value.

Not if Orlando takes Isaac first... I'd hate to trade for Rubio just to have Smith Jr sitting there at #7.
