Thunder easily got better. Now they can start Ibaka too. Their frontcourt just when from charmin soft to tough as nails.

So Crash went for Joel and a 2nd but the price was too high for us....
*Even two firsts isn't bad. That's essentially what the Harris deal was, and Crash is a much more valuable player.

Yeah, BIG difference between one second and two firsts...
We couldn't have gotten Wallace.

Sorry but Wallace for Butler+1st+Jones (if they demanded 2 1st) is a no-brainer.

Except now you load up on Durant and make Ibaka and Perkins shoot. Pack the paint and play zone (Thunder have awful shooting numbers from outside that just got worse with the trade.).....

people load up on Durant anyways, I suspect with this trade they will start playing more Harden and Less Thabo.
Overall they got better and Ibaka has a pretty good mid range game

Not all first-round picks are created equally - the Bobcats are going to be picking a LOT higher than the Mavs...

I do like the odds for the Thunder to overtake L.A. for the 3rd seed. But suddenly I don't know if I like matching up with them in the second round.

Even Portland will pick higher than us. The difference between a 26-28 and a 20-21st pick may mean missing out on the guy they want.

Chad Ford says the first goes to Memphis, which makes more sense. Still can't believe the Bulls couldn't beat that offer though.

Detroit really messed with Rip. Now he will sit out his huge contract there. They surely deserved that.

They're certainly not contenders, and they know it.

making a move doesn't mean you aren't a contender, rather you are trying to get better, Boston is a clear contender whether you like it or not

I really can't believe Boston is just trading away centers like that. Are they seriously relying on Shaq/Jermaine O'Neal (isn't he like done?) in the playoffs?

point is:
if someone offers you two 21st picks and someone offers you two 29th picks, who would you trade with? Then say the second team decides to be cheap and offer you a 29th pick and a crappy player like Dojo and its pretty clear who you'd go with.
Not saying the Mavs were willing to do 2 firsts, but even if they were, its pretty clear Jordan knows small numbers from big
