The Spurs really suck. Christ. Kind of ruins some of my buzz from last night's win.

I have to say Parker is one of that last people I expect to break out a 50+ point game.
It doesn't look like Melo is going to honor Obama quite like he wanted to.
And seriously, Lebron is sick. He's almost a nightly triple double.

Agreed, when Parker goes off, it's usually for 30-35 points. Seeing him go for 55 was absurd.
btw, completely random stat of the day: this forum has an estimated worth of $12,052.3

Amare's game was more fantasy worthy IMHO.
49 points
11 rebounds
6 assists
5 steals
2 blocks
17-21 fg
15-15 ft

Devin struggling a little bit. Hopefully my nephew will get it together...but it sounds vaguely familiar.
http://www.nj.com/nets/index.ssf/200...s_working.html
Quote:
He was the last guy to leave the gym Thursday -- isn't that always the case with slumping shooters? -- but you had the impression that Devin Harris wasn't getting the desired results from those 200 extra jumpers he took with assistant coach Jim Sann.
Nobody ever said 200 shots would be enough to cure a sick shooting stroke. But the Nets point guard was only halfway through this workout when another coach, Doug Overton, asked him whether he'd be in the gym later in the evening.
"Meet you around 8 o'clock," Harris told him, taking his eye off the rim for only a second.
To answer the obvious question: Yes, he is taking his slump seriously, as he must.
Overshadowed by the Nets' defensive problems is the fact they are often inept offensively, which comes as a surprise to most of them. They had believed that their scoring talent would carry them through the early stages of the season, but when your point guard is averaging 12.3 points on 30 percent shooting, that is not a realistic premise.
Harris knows it better than anyone: "It's still up in the air a little bit," he said of his comfort level with the new offense and his new teammates. "I'm just trying to find a good, happy medium between scoring and getting assists and what-not.
"And it's tough when we're in the open series (the dribble-drive offense) to find those open guys. Because you want to get in the lane -- that's the predicate of the offense -- and obviously the decision-making isn't where it needs to be right now. And that's partly my fault."
Harris has a tough job, given all the pieces he's trying to integrate. He has to think like a primary scorer. He has to be fearless, and he can't worry about making a turnover. But through 92 uneven minutes, he is having trouble getting a feel for the game, keeping it at a pace he's comfortable with, and managing its momentum shifts.
No coach or teammate fears he won't snap out of it -- perhaps as early as Friday night's encounter with Allen Iverson and the Detroit Pistons at Izod Center -- but it must happen soon, because the kids on his team need someone to tug them along right now.
Especially when defenses are so intent on removing Vince Carter, who is getting a measly 15 shots per game, from the equation.
"I think he's just got to do it," coach Lawrence Frank said matter-of-factly. "I've got no worries at all. The last exhibition game he played very well. He played well in Washington. He'll get it. I know he'll play to his level. I don't have any concerns about him."
Frank concedes -- reluctantly -- that his leader has struggled with tempo, with managing shot distribution, and is occasionally preoccupied with making the big play instead of the right play. That's when Frank reminds you that Harris is still only 25, and in his second year of running his own team.
"He knows it," the coach said. "We address it. Like I said, he's the least of our worries."
The positives? Harris is getting to the line fairly regularly. He is still capable of getting into the paint and all the way to the rim any time he wants, especially in the open format. And despite some amateurish blunders in the open court against Phoenix Tuesday, his assist-to-turnover ratio is where it was a year ago.
But the offense hasn't come together the way he would have liked, and he asserts that cohesion will come with familiarity.
"(I'm) trying to figure out what these guys are thinking, where I think they'll be, as opposed to where they really go," Harris said. "Especially on pick-and-rolls, with guys like Brook (Lopez) and Ryan (Anderson). We really haven't played a lot together, so when those guys come in the game I have to think more like they think, rather than where I expect them to be."

That, coupled with the fact that this is the most boring game ever...78 points midway through the 4th....good grief.
And yeah, he wants to have 3 or 4 of his babies. I also liked the way he defended Tracy when she threw it out of bounds to nobody and then blamed it on a different Rocket.

Brandon Roy hit like a 30 foot 3 pointer from the wing as time expired.

Some NBA players look angry no matter what. See: T-Mac, David West.

3 clutch FG's in the last 3 seconds.
35 footer for Roy can't do much but say nice shot.
yao was a giant pussy again tonight until the clutch shot.

Great game by the Blazers. That kid Rudy Fernandez is going to be a hell of a player. He moves around screens like Reggie Miller, he's athletic, can shoot the 3, is clever with the ball and has a nice passing touch.
Portland is going to be very very good in the near future.

It's interesting to know that Rockets' fans think Yao is a big pussy when Kenny "The 'tard sauce'" Smith just said earlier in the broadcast that he has overtaken Dirk as the best foreign-born player in the league...

The idea that Yao is better than Dirk is laughable. Yao needs to lead his team to at least ONE playoff series victory in his career before the two can even be compared.

Wow, the Bobcats just won over the Hornets. And the Spurs are currently down by 20 going into the 2nd half against the Heat.
Tony Parker suffered a sprain. I don't know how severe it is.
