@NateDuncanNBA: Worth noting if Dallas, which is most familiar with Parsons' health situation, isn't offering him the max he'd likely have stayed for.

Just picture Batum getting the chance to help spread the offense with Dirk like this. One things is Parsons doesn't have as much agility. He's like Van Horn without the modeling career.

What's that have to do with Deron being 10x better than Parsons at contributing? Also, Batum doesn't have anywhere near the competition Parsons does to play for his countries team. 4-5 of them might play in the NBA? The fact that you even brought that up is comical.

@HowardBeck: Chandler Parsons is eyeing Lakers, Blazers, Grizz and Magic, per league source, and aiming for close to max money. Not going back to DAL.

@espn_macmahon: Sources: Chandler Parsons will meet with a Trail Blazers contingent including Damian Lillard in Los Angeles when free agency opens tonight.

Yeah, if it wasn't for Deron and our guards. Mavs wouldn't have been able to clinch playoffs. Would have been too much weight on Dirk.

I don't remember many good things about his 2 year stay. Therefore, good riddance!

There was that month or so he was getting his empty stats at the expense of the Mavericks having a winning record.

Basketball reference has Blazers at 56 and change. But they extended qualifying offers for Mo, Meyers and Crabbe. Figure that adds another 10m or so? They would be close. Sure they could find the room if they get commits from both.

@WojVerticalNBA: Chandler Parsons meeting with Trail Blazers now in Los Angeles. Four-year max offer.

Which means the Mavs would have had to do a 5 year max to keep Parsons. No thanks.

Parsons is worth nowhere near a max contract. He didn't stay healthy. He had flashes of greatness but was never consistent. I wouldn't want to lock him up for five years. Hell no.

@ESPNSteinLine: Chandler Parsons has a strong advocate in Memphis in new Grizz assistant J.B. Bickerstaff. Word is Mike Conley wants him, too, IF he stays
@ESPNSteinLine: Either way, whether Portland or Memphis, it appears Parsons and agent Dan Fegan will get the max deal they vowed to get after Dallas divorce

Parson's final eff you to Dallas... signing with Memphis and then "recruits" Conley to stay even without a 5th year offered.

Very possible, but Conley was/is a long shot at best anyway.

"Tim MacMahon ESPN Staff Writer
Chandler Parsons was always certain he'd get a max offer, which is why he felt disrespected by Dallas trying to get him to take much less."
I'm starting to really dislike him now. I don't blame him for wanting to make as much money as he can, but he's a f*cking hypocrite if he's offended by the Mavs not offering him the max.

Yeah wasn't it just last year that he was in the driver seat of a plan to get DJ and Iron man... and Iron man was asked to take less to fit both in? So it's cool for Mavs to ask a guy who is not a mav to take less but when we want Parsons to... it's disrespectful.

@espn_macmahon: Tried to get him to opt into final season, then made it clear they weren't gonna approach max. Don't think numbers exchanged.
@jared_thigpen: @espn_macmahon Do you think they ever viewed him as max and changed their minds at some point? Lot of lip service about foundational piece.
@espn_macmahon: @jared_thigpen I think Cuban did at one point. Second surgery opened door for other high-ranking types to convince him otherwise.

Parsons is and always was a douche. I tried so hard over 2 years to like the guy, and I somewhat came around in the fallout of the DJ crap. But people usually end of showing the type of person they are and Id say he is a hypocrite and is the type that doesnt stand for anything. I dont really take anything he says as genuine unless he's talking about himself.

Well he would fit right in with Blazer's tradition of brittle players. The tradition of Bill Walton, Sam Bowie, Brandon Roy, and Greg Oden.

@espn_macmahon: A source described Chandler Parsons as "really impressed" with Portland's presentation, which included a four-year max offer and emphasized the Trail Blazers' vision for him.
Owner Paul Allen, general manager Neil Olshey, coach Terry Stotts and star point guard Damian Lillard traveled to Los Angeles to meet with Parsons, who is intrigued by the possibility of joining a playoff team with a young core.
Parsons has a Friday meeting set up with the Memphis Grizzlies, sources said.

Parsons is a diva much like James Harden but doesn't have the talent to cover it up.

Really hope we don't get desperate and offer Parsons the farm. Mediocrity of his type sucks. Seeing Anderson develop is about the only thing I'm looking forward to this season.

@espn_macmahon: League sources say Mike Conley and Chandler Parsons have had multiple conversations about playing together in Memphis. They never talked about teaming up in Dallas.
Parsons, who has ruled out a return to Dallas, will meet with the Grizzlies on Friday in Los Angeles. Conley is scheduled to meet with the Mavs in Dallas.
