the Jazz fastbreak... you never saw Stockton trying to throw it to Mark Eaton... gee wonder why?
Come on Kidd. Pass it to guys who might can score. Especially when there aren't defenders there.

I don't understand why Kidd intends on giving the ball to Dampier at all. I don't even fault Dampier. He has no hands. Its no secret. He's not going to get them overnight. He'll never have them. I blame Kidd because he knows better. He knows Damp has no hands yet he still gives it to him right under the basket and just like every other time he fumbles it.

Given the many turnovers and fastbreak tragedies as well as Dirk and Caron not shooting lights out in the first half, I gladly take a one-point deficit. Weird to see Najera in there with Wood AND Damp healthy on the bench, but considering how our centers played in the first 24 minutes, probably not the worst decision.
Here's hoping we'll be a little less sloppy after the break and win this one against senior Celtics on the second night of a back-to-back. Almost a must-win.

Agree, Jet and Matrix keep us in the game
The key problems are our centers, Haywood and Eric have been pretty bad for the past several games

That doesn't make any sense.
Complete some of those fouled up fastbreaks, and we are winning this game.
Don't give them so many second chance points, and we are winning this game.

Dirk just needs to continue to shoot. There was a time where he would shoot 20+ times regardless.

This game looked like a potential playoff-like game. I don't know what's happened but now guys are just making unforced turnovers.

Haywood seems slower to go up for the dunk right under the basket than before. Back okay? Or is he Damp 2.0?

I thought I saw Najera out there alongside Damp?
And a must-win? Aren't the Celtics one if not the best teams in the league in back to backs? Its going to be difficult but Mavs can pull this out. But this isn't the Sacramento Kings.

This team, for whatever reason, has got something wrong in the head.

Exactly.
Oh another embarrassing lost rebound.

I've made fun of Marion for missing bunnies, but I sure am happy with him. Still willing to do dirty work. I think he has our second highest plus/minus on the team for the season (behind Dirk of course).

I don't know what he overreacted with. Everything he said is correct. It was awful and Rondo was outplaying Kidd.

Mavs rebounding is horrendous. Do they even talk to each other on it?

Oh my, this is just bad. Instead of trying some 21st century stuff like communication while trying to get a rebound, they give it away and allow Pierce the 3-point play. Great and so not sloppy...

Dirk got the opening shot... and hasn't touched it since.
And defensively the Mavs inability to rebound is killing them. They have average to above average rebounders at every position. There is no excuse to be this sh*tty at it.

Boston is making us look like the softest team to ever play the game of basketball. No toughness.

Where the hell is Dirk at? We need to run some plays for him or atleast give him a touch when we go into these scoring droughts. I can appreciate Butler attacking the basket but he probably should've kicked that out.

We should play Barea and Beaubois to exploit how slow they are.
