Pacers got Siakam. Looks like the rules of trades and being leaked have changed. Usually don't hear about the details before they happen.

If we're really looking at PFs and the list was only Siakam, Washington, Wiggins, and DFS and Siakam is now taken, then DFS is the only one I would be happy about.
Washington wouldn't move the needle and Wiggins would make me actively pissed.

Yeah, Wiggins sucks now. Don't get that at all.
So Woj saying Pascal excited to work out a new contract with the Pacers this summer. That was all a bs smokescreen him saying he would test FA.
He must really hate Sacramento.

Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora, and 3x FRPs and then 47mill a year starting this summer.
That is a LOT to pay for him and also way more than we could have paid.

Two of the firsts are in the 2024 draft which is a weak one. Then the 2026 first which I'd wager has more value.
But they got him. Slick Rick taking tabs on who we want and getting them. First Bruce Brown and now Pascal.

When your team is that stacked, the picks arent going to matter that much.
They got Tyrese and Pascal with Myles Turner on the same team. Loaded.

Not saying the picks will be good, but we can offer one FRP and they can (and did) offer three. It's a little weird that we were even mentioned in the rumors.

Toronto is shopping Brown apparently
Not sure why we?d pay the big bucks for him with so many more pressing needs but he?s an upgrade on Hardy.
Then again, if we trade THJ/Hardy for a big, we would then need that spark plug

If Wiggins is extremely cheap, I?m not against taking a small risk if Nico thinks there?s something left.

As much as I hate Wiggins, if all it cost was GWill/Holmes (and maybe a SRP), I might be on board.

Ugh why Jerami Grant? Another player that can't rebound. Just what we need.

Yeah just doesn?t fit the offense at all imo. If we didn?t have Kyrie then sure.

Lots of smoke with PJ Washington. He is at least a decent rebounder but he can't shoot for shit.
Still, his contract is cap friendly and it's a lower risk, high reward type of move. And it might not cost much.

PJ Washington would be filthy here. We have plenty of shooting, I think.
What would a trade package from Mavs look like?

Hardy/Williams for Washington/Richards?
Or
Hardy/Green/Holmes for Washington/Richards

Pacers are starting to look really good and have a lot of depth at PF now. I doubt they challenge Celts or Bucks but have a such good young core with Mathurin and Walker. Jarace Walker is now hitting the rotation and Haliburton is amazing. They lost Bruce Brown so maybe Josh Green would have some appeal. Jalen smith is a big help for size at the PF position and the Mavs are top heavy with wings. Smith is only 8 months older than Green. If Green grew to 6'9", he might be Jalen smith.

I may make Indy my second team. I was cheering for Sac last year, but they've peaked with their current roster.

I grew up in Indiana (not in Indy) during their ABA days rooting for them. Lots of games on the radio. Every now and then a TV game. They will always be my 2nd team. The Reggie teams in the 90's really filled the void from those Mav teams from that decade. McGinnis is one of my all time favorite players. Watched some of his HS games on TV then he played for IU then Pacers.

Fisher saying it all
Mavs want talent and offering THJ
No one wants THJ
Might be a no-move TDL

Man, Fisher really doing some hardcore journalism there. I forgot he still existed.
Him saying nobody wants THJ is something we've all known for years now. That, of course, changes with adding Hardy, Green, Omax or picks.

If I'm not mistaken, Rick was against selecting Green in the draft and that was one of the r
easons he left.
Things may have changed since then, but as I recollect Rick wasn't happy that his input was completely ignored.

I know it means nothing but I found it funny that Tyrese first game back and Siakam first game with the pacers and they lose to the blazers.

I find it odd that Indiana was hell bent on keeping Jarace Walker and Obi Toppin when they play the same position as Siakam. I suppose they can use those assets for a later trade, but we know how Rick is with rookies...

GSW wants to unload Wiggins due to his contract, should be cheap to get him, if we send back expiring deals. He missed a chunk of time last season due to personal issues and has not found his Finals self yet.

You could talk me into PJ Washington. Crappy ass team and unmotivated.
If GS doesn't want Wiggins, then it's a huge reg flag. There is no reason for him not to play well for that franchise with that coach.

We?re on the same page. If he can?t get it together for that franchise, I don?t have any hope he would magically get it together for Dallas.

I was going to say the same thing.
And Miles Bridges would be a Jerry Jones move. I mean, it's hard to be the morality police with Cuban and Kidd around. Still think Washington makes about as much sense without the baggage.

If he plays well I think mavs fans in general would accept him.
But he can definitely help this team on both ends of the floor.

Jones doesn't fix our rebounding, but we could always use the defense.
Exum upgraded to doubtful.
