Man, Wade really gets UP on his boards. Blake is non-existent in L.A.'s offense atm.

And we had guys here telling (before our 2012 cap plans) that 3years 15M would be a terrible deal for Butler....

Under the new CBA and with the plans we apparently have going into next summer, $5 million per season over three years could have been a bad idea. $8 million per year even more so.
However, the potential injury risk that comes along with him after his knee injury is just one of those risks one has to take at times. We gave Haywood a 5-year contract in spite of his reputation (by the way, I don't think he's lazy or doesn't care). Many people probably would have been fine with offering Tyson five years under the old CBA despite his injury problems in the past. We gave Kidd a 3-year deal in 2009 that could have turned into a bad contract eventually due to his age.
I don't think we should have matched the Clippers' offer. That said, Caron's been playing well enough so far to justify his salary and I still like to hold him in pretty high regard. He's not as worthless as some people around here made him out to be.

He didn't fit our system very well, we already had a SF better than him, and he was coming off a major injury. These are the reasons I had no interest in giving him a multi-year deal. He's playing well enough now that he's probably put to rest the concerns about his knee, but that doesn't change my other two issues. Is he worth $5 Mil a year in the general sense? Maybe. Would it have been smart for the Mavs to do it, no matter what their plans in 2012 were? No.

But he got a 3yr/21M deal from the Clippers. Too much for a player who is on the wrong side of 30 and had a torn patella tendon.
Like I said earlier, he should be commended on getting himself back into shape after that injury.

The Clippers sure are fun to watch, loved seeing them knock off the Heat tonight. Lebron and Wade were whining about calls the whole game, like always. Blake got mauled a few times with no call. Butler looks good, he's a great fit in their system. Gets to pick his spots on offense and doesn't receive a ton of pressure because he's playing alongside Blake and CP3. Deandre Jordan continues to impress me, he's so athletic, definitely one of the premier shot blockers in the league.

Horford could be out for a minute. Atlanta is getting pummeled by injuries.
This schedule is wrecking havoc health-wise.

I thought he got 3/24? Either way he is overpaid and the main reason he has been looking good is because Chris Paul and Blake Griffin are playing 2 on 4 during pick and rolls. (No, seriously)

Perfect for him, not the 1st nor 2nd option, would have been a 2nd option here based on a multi year deal, but with Paul driving and kicking Butler just needs to spot up, or a one bounce pull.

Shumpert was in the top-10 until last night. That was a a ridiculous display of ineptitude. My biggest problem was D'Antoni did absolutely nothing about the situation. He is supposed to be your PG, he should have been sat down after the 1st qtr when he jacked up 12 shots.

The problem with the Knicks (other than obviously there coach) is they really don't have a PG, Shumpert is more of a 2, Bibby just sucks, Douglas is a 2 also and his jumper looks terrible now.

It's nice that his team is winning, but Devin Harris has been terrible this season. I'm really disappointed since he has had every opportunity to become the player I thought he'd be. Just kinda sad when Delonte West has been much better.

Lowry is crazy underrated, averaging 16.5/9/7/2 and is one of the better guard defenders in the NBA. I think him, Paul, and Lawson are the 3 best PG's in the west and should make the all star game.

Man, if Foye or Butler could hit anything right now it would be a blowout even with Kobe's 40.

Paul strained hamstring. Probably will be fine but might affect the Dallas game (4 days away).

Clippers looking awfully formidable at the moment. I think I'm more worried about them than either OKC or the Lakers in the West. I take solace in the fact that the Mavericks employ a guy by the name of Dirk, though.

The Clippers had 2 days off and this is a back to back for the lakers i believe. Not sure there really is 1 team in the west i am scared of.

Lakers have no scoring punch off the bench. That will most likely affect them this short and arduous season.

The clippers bench is terrible too, Mo is ok but Foye is one of those bad shooters that shoot, Gomes and Cook are garbage.
The poor benches of Portland, both la teams should hurt them.
