It took 3 minutes for Romo to throw an interception. A bad one.

Never expected us to win this one, so I won't be horribly upset with a loss. That said, it is very, very unfortunate that Romo has played this poorly given the opportunities NE has given our offense.
Nothing I didn't anticipate of course, but unfortunate all the same. Hopefully he can turn it around in the 2nd half and go against the grain from his normal 3rd/4th quarter production. I will say that this game it is definitely not all him. Missed tackles, Choice's fumble (ugh why does he get reps on this team over Murray), dropped receptions, PENALTIES... Nothing has changed under Ginger. We are stupid as hell.
No matter, my Ranger high is untouchable.

See how much more Murray works on his attempts? He is truly the guy that should be getting the goal line and 1-yard rushes, along with potentially cutting into Jones' rushes if he just keeps falling into a group of men. Ugh. Had so much hope for him.

Much better job Dallas. No penalties, good blocking, hard rushing, accurate passing, great running after the catch - just very good football on that possession. Keep that shit up Boys and you have a chance here.
Prior to that last drive the defense has played very well too - likely last drive a result of our offense being on the field for such a short period of time and them getting tired.
Come on Dallas! Surprise some folks out East.

Murray is certainly playing better than either Choice or Jones.

Dude didn't get in from the 3 there but the difference is he seems so much hungrier to get that ball across the line - going so far as to dive into the hole he thought he had. Jones/Choice both just run into the asses of their line and fall down.
I am glad we cut him, but I miss Barber's jumps across the line. Don't understand why no one tries that. Obviously you are more prone to a fumble, but the ball only has to cross the line before it is dead.

Impressive comeback. D should be well rested so hopefully we keep it going. Tough break that sack on 2nd down - move your feet Smith.

Very tired of getting inside the 5 to settle for 3. Oh well, hopefully it holds up. Go defense!

Wow - HUGE stop. Problem is we sure do struggle running the ball. Tough to eat up 3 and a half minutes with that problem.

Well, here we go. Inside the 10 with less than 30 seconds. Do we go to overtime (with a successful FG of course) or have another very disappointing loss that could have otherwise been a win?

So you hold the ball for 6 seconds and throw 10 yards?
Jesus Christ, this IS the time you throw into traffic you moron. Must get the ball down field.

Should try a quick slant to get about 10 more and then out of bounds.

Defense showed me a lot today. Sucks they gave up the TD, but they did their job on the 3 and out and we should have been able to do what TB just did against NO. Run the clock out for the win.
I take solace in the fact that I pegged this as a loss and expected us to be 2-3 after the "event" against Detroit. It is possible 7-4 might get us in with the way the division has performed up to this point, but I honestly believe that we will have to go 8-3 to make the playoffs. The remaining schedule:
St. Louis (home)
Philly (away)
Seattle (home)
Buffalo (home)
Washington (away)
Miami (home)
Arizona (away)
New York (home)
Tampa Bay (away)
Philly (home)
New York (away)
It would be safe to assume we will lose 2 division games (likely 1 to NY and 1 to Philly) but we MIGHT be able to sweep 2 of the 3. I'm calling that 2 losses. That means we can only lose 1 other game.
I see possible wins (as possible as this mistake-prone team allows) against St Louis, Seattle, Washington, Arizona, Miami and 1 each against NY/Philly. That puts us at 7-2 needing to win 1 of the remaining 2 games against Bufallo or Tampa Bay.

Nice job, Dan. But, nobody really cares. I don't... The Mavericks are World Champions and the Rangers are in the World Series. What more do you want?

The Cowboys to win the Super Bowl, of course. Definitely not happening, but you asked.

This doesn't even graze my emotional state after the Jets and Lions games, but yeah, another tough loss to swallow. Romo was quite a bit better after the middle of the 2nd quarter and I give him props for that. Just wish others would have stepped up (including you Ginger).

You just know when they are going to blow it. I had this same feeling during the Detroit game.

Let me see if my Kharma can strike again.
1) Not too long ago, I vowed to not go see the Texas Rangers in person until they were 10 games over .500, now they are back to back AL Champions.
2) I vowed not to talk politics if the Mavs won the NBA Title
So now, #3...
I will not watch another NFL Game until the Cowboys are 4 games over .500
Look, don't get me wrong...I love my Dallas teams and remain loyal until I'm 6' under. However, with the Cowboys as with the Rangers a few years back, I was tired of investing so much emotion, only to get crushed over and over. With the Rangers, I was tired of the losing and tired of spending money on the team. With the Mavs, i was tired of hoping and fell for the conspiracy that was against the Mavs (I was wrong...i'll leave it at that).
Now, after 15+ years, I am flat out tired of thinking the Cowboys are better than they are. The simple truth, they are an average team...at best!!! No sense in posting opinion...just making a vow to no longer watch the NFL, until the team is winning and shows that they care from the top down as much as we the fans. I wonder what would happen if the Cowboys were no longer a money maker for Jerry Jones...if the Cowboys started LOSING Fans and thus Revenue? I don't know, but just want to throw it out there.
Sleep well my DM.COM siblings!!! At least we still have Baseball, Hockey and Soccer!!!

I don't understand what people are upset about. The Cowboys are the only team to beat the 49ers (in Candlestick Park, no less!) and almost beat the Lions and Patriots, two of the top teams in the league, after going 6-10 last season. If they keep it up, they have a good chance of improving to 7-9 or even 8-8 and having something to build on. If they have a good draft and maybe sign a couple of quality free agents, I think they have a good chance to make the playoffs as early as next year. Look up, Cowboys fans! Your future is bright.

I think they're extremely fortunate the division is a cluster----
They're young, inexperienced and unreliable at your valuable positions (including coaching).
To me, it seems like it's the epitome of a rebuilding/transition year.

I'm with Dan on this one. I was much more frustrated by NYJ and Detroit. I didn't like some of the playcalling today (especially that shovel pass in in the red zone), but overall this one didn't hit me too hard. Give Brady the ball with <3 minutes left and a chance to win, and normally this is what happens. Cowboys aren't the first team he's done it to, and they certainly won't be the last.

I agree with their decision to be conservative on their last possession. You have faith and trust in your defense, so you believe they can get one more stop.
What I do find interesting is the conservative route in the red zone. It makes me wonder if it's Garrett showing he has little faith in Romo.
