On a dourer note, looks like Denver finally remembered that they're Denver. They're sliding fast, losing by 25 tonight. So much for the assist.

No doubt. I didn't watch that game for obvious reasons, but while I'm sure you have to give SA credit for battling through TD's injury, that's really a pitiful effort by Denver. They're in serious danger of losing their playoff spot to Portland or Utah.

Wow is it me or is the Mavs now a BLOCKING machine???

Of course you know you'll get some blocks with Bradley playing but this team is blocking shots every which way in every game!!!

Could this team actually be trying to become a better defensive team??

I wonder if Nellie is putting more time in practice on the defensive end.....hmmmmm.....

maybe it's wishful thinking but I did love the note during the game that Dirk is concentrating more on his blocking...once he
gets that square away he will be a real great player; able to stop his guy defensively.

AND WOW WHAT A GAME BY WILLIAMS!!!!

To be honest I didn't think much of this guy when he was with the Bulls and wasn't jumping on my feet when I learned he was
getting picked up by the Mavs this year but this guy can really play!!! He's smart and rebounds very well. And the dude is not afraid of anyone!

I like the "Malik Rose you aren't going to dominate us anymore" type of dimension Williams seems to bring to the Mavs. Specifically, one play during the spurs game malik had the ball down low, where it usually is an easy two points for him against the Mavs, and Williams just seemed to swallow him up, forcing him into a turnover.

The Mavs have showed alot of heart and emotion on the court during this home stretch. They're so much more fun to watch when it looks like they are having a good time.

Scott Williams - your relentless cheerleading from the bench is incredibly endearing.

I also like that Williams, Bradley and Fortson all make shots, as long as they are open enough. Give Shawn 5 secs to aim and he will make that 17-footer. It was also great to see Shawn's determination to make a second-chance shot from near range after missing his first one. If all of the mavs play with this kind of passion and energy good things are going to happen in April (and May and June) [img]i/expressions/rolleye.gif[/img]

Have you heard Williams in an interview yet? He was on with Ben and Skin the other night and was tremendous. I was super impressed with him. I love his size and bulk and that he can hit open jumpshots. His basketball IQ is such that after just a couple weeks of hanging around our Centers, they have all improved and don't seem to do stupid crap nearly as much. It's nice insurance for Nellie. If Bradley starts spazzing out, Williams can go into the game.
