how do I play a unit out of position? I like Francis/Crawford/Pierce, but Pierce is only listed as an SG and G.

what is "g" and "f" are they backups for both guard and forward positions? If so, why can't I backup Francis with Miller and Pierce with Crawford.

RE: D-M.com Fantasy Basketball League - Season 2... the U2 domination
"g" and "f" are extra guards and forwards you want to play out of the four, one will either need to be a utility player or a forward of somekind.

I have a question for the experienced fantasy player: does a utility player's stats count as much as a normal starter's stats?

if preseason stats hold up(they often don't) my young guns: Joe Johnson, Steven Jackson, and Zach Randolph will lead the way for my Sikedelics...I'm also counting on vets Damp and Magloire to be near double/double guys, and Starbury to score and dish.

Yea, Steph Starburry and Zach Randolph are pretty normal down to earth guys. Hope Zach can avoid club shootings and punching teammates this year.

the scoring is done by category, pongo, and each category is worth one point. So if you out score the team you are heard to head with but his team grabs more rebounds and shoots a better %, he has the atvantage...what is most important is a well rounded team. Being good in just one thing only means you will win the one category...the goal is to win more categories than your opponant. That is how you "win" in this league, by winning categories.

RE: D-M.com Fantasy Basketball League - Season 2... the U2 domination
got a very interesting question for the more expierenced players out there...
Is it ever a smart move to trade two very good, near all-star players (who you team needs) for one super star player? I say NO because the two will put up better numbers than the one...But am I right? Let me know what you guys/gals think.

I have a very stupid question for probably the most basic of fantasy players:
What do the utility spots mean; what is a utility player?

I would say not unless that superstar addressed a huge need on your team. For instance, if you had a glut of guards who gave you lots of points, assists, steals, and 3 pointers, but you were being killed on rebounds and shot-blocking, you might consider sending two very good guards to aquire a Ben Wallace or a Jermaine O'Neal, whereas if you were big-man heavy, there might come a time when it would be worthwhile to trade two good big men for a Steve Francis or Gilbert Arenas.
It just depends on what your team situation is...
