Eff, it makes my pants feel funny.
Considering the US was without its two best gymnasts, medaling is an incredible accomplishment.

Yeah...pretty good stuff by the USA gymnastics team there. I don't really care for gymnastics much, too subjective it seems for me, but I'm proud of our boys to do that without two of their best guys.
Suck it Germany.

I wasn't getting it. How embarrassing would it have been if Germany beat us out of a medal? I have a hard time celebrating bronze, when you are the USofA.

This China v. Spain basketball game has been fantastic!
1. China's guards have made huge strides since Athens
2. Yao is such a vocal leader for Team China
3. Donnie has never been this animated on the sidelines with the Mavs as he is with the Chinese National Team
4. Calderdon got benched in the third quarter for Ricky Rubio.
5. Spain is down 14 heading into the fourth.

Final Score (in overtime):
85 - Spain
75 - China
That was the best basketball game I've watched on television in a couple of years. Wow.
I'll have more comments when I watch again tomorrow. It's time to watch the USA win by 75 =P
Some things I want to say before I forget
1. Portland better find some playing time for Rudy--that guy is an extremely good player
2. I am a believer in Ricky Rubio--simply, amazing.

You've got the winning team wrong. Spain won. I was really glad I looked that up because China winning would have really hurt Germany's chances of getting out of group play. I was really bummed when I thought China had won.

man, you'd think that China's offensive strategy would be to feed yao on the post all day. yet they never look inside. They barely gave it to him against the US, and then from what i saw of the spain game, it was the same thing.

China shot from the perimeter the entire US game. Even Yao shot two threes (and made one).

Just wait until next Olympics when baseball is no longer played at the Olymics. That will be weird.

It warms my heart to know that Donnie is enjoying himself in China.

Dang it, I really want to see that Rubio kid in a real game. What did he do? I'm gonna see if I can't find some archived footage of the game.

He sees the entire floor.
He has very very quick feet on defense.
His hands can pick anyone's pocket.
The torch was passed tonight, he is now the leader of Spain.
oh, and he's 17 years old.

The scary thing is the coach kinda looked surprised at the time and Phelps didn't look happy at all. The announcers were alluding to the fact that Phelps was hoping to go faster. He looked like he was a little peeved, but not disappointed. I'm sure that's going to make him push harder in the next race in a little bit.

They have requirements on overall worldwide participation. It's not played at all in Europe, obviously. Dunno. It's weird.
BTW, the U.S. just dominated that 4x200 relay like no one has ever dominated anything ever before. That was freaking beautiful.

5 Gold Medals, 5 World Records thus far for Phelps. That is freaking nuts.

Some of them look more like 9 or 10 years old. It´s not as bad with the other teams but I´d rather look at real women. You won´t find these at gymnastics.

If Johnson can do well on balance beam here, the gold might be achievable. None of the three Chinese toddlers did well, but Liukin's wasn't terrible, and Johnson's (finishing now) was quite good. The two fallers cancel each other out. If the Chinese fall out on floor exercise, there will be an opportunity.

There it goes.
We tried. If TPTB get their bologna together and show China's cheating, we may get it yet.

It's unfortunate, but not unexpected. I know the US women won the gold at the world championship but...China just seems to be on a mission in all sports this time around. They want the world (mostly us) to know 'what's up.'
Too bad they're using 11 year olds who see their parents, and I quote the broadcast "once a year"
