I go back and forth with a lot of players, but it's really hard not to come back to Bamba. He has the highest ceiling in the draft IMO.
Rick is a def a coach that can work with him because he seems to be the type of player that needs motivation. Coach will motivate you son...don't you worry.

Yeah, there seems to be risk in nearly all of the top 8 picks so I guess I shouldn't be overly conservative. I just hope Porter doesn't turn out to be the Harry Giles of this draft and we are stuck with nothing if we take him.
I see draftnet has us taking Jackson with Doncic slipping to 6 and Porter slipping to 8. Young jumped up to 3.
Knox, Bridges and Carter all have low ceilings but damn they just seem like solid picks. But we are definitely in desperation mode when it comes to acquiring a star so we need to take a chance on some of these guys with much higher ceilings even though they do come with risks.

I'm down with Porter if his health checks out.
We should all vow on here to support whatever player is picked 100% and not be like db.com where half of them will jump off a cliff no matter who is picked. Being a fan is supporting your team.
And I want to win next season. I'm not rooting for us to lose again. Nope.

Ayton, Doncic, Bagley, Jackson, Porter, Bamba, Bridges -- I'll even root for Carter if he's our guy... I mean, I wasn't a fan of the Shane Larkin pick, but I certainly rooted for him once he put on that Mavs jersey.

Uh I supported Nick Fazekas who made Larkin look like Michael Jordan.

I still think Bamba's gonna be gone by the time we pick.

Will definitely support any rookie 100%....problem I have is when Wes, JJB and Powell get most of the minutes while rookies like Motley either sit and watch or don't even dress. That is when I find myself hoping for losses.
Hopefully that will change this coming season.

Looking that way, unfortunately. If that's the case I think I'm taking Porter assuming medical looks ok.

Damn. Bamba has to be rising after his workouts. I still think the top 5 is dependent on Porters health.
Ayton
Doncic
Bamba
Bagely
Porter
Ayton will for sure be gone, but I can get on board with any of the leftover 4. I'm not as high on Jjj or Bridges...at 5.

Yeah Draft lottery maybe bite us in the ass big time.
I think even at #3 with no lottery bad luck we pick him. Wouldnt be surprised if we try to trade up for #3. If the Hawks love Bagley and the Grizz comitting to Porter if he is there then its a trade that makes sense for both teams

It depends -- if Bamba goes top-3 (don't see Memphis taking him), then that definitely increase the chances of Doncic slipping to #5... Or if we're trading up to #3, do we take Bamba over Bagley/Doncic (depending on which one slips past Sacto)? I feel like we probably aren't giving up additional assets to move up and draft Mo with all the other talent that could be available at #5.

Everything outside of Ayton at 1 is poker face. Doncic falling to 5 wouldn't surprise me at all. Ayton/Bagley/Bamba/Porter isn't beyond reason. In fact, I think that's where we are headed if Bamba and MPJ keep rising.

No one should worry about one particular guy. The fact is we’re getting one of following: Bagley, JJJ, Bamba, Doncic, Porter, or Ayton. Even if you take Porter off your draft board there are 5 blue-chip prospects.

LOL nbadraft.net is at least entertaining. They have Doncic falling to Orlando and us taking JJJ. What's funny is they can be all wild and ridiculous and still somehow end up right this draft.

Why would Atlanta pass up Bamba? That seems to me the only team that stands in the way of him reaching 5.

Appearantly their scouting department love Bagley (as the YouTube Dime Dude) and their GM loves Trae as next Curry.
They need scoring more than defense. They could always move Collins to center or re-sign Dedmon...
Ayton
Doncic
Bagley
Porter
Is my hope for the Draft order

See I wouldnt bet Collins is ready if I'm Atl. I would love to have Bamba and Collins together and I'm not so sure Bamba isnt going to provide scoring.
I would love for Doncic to surprisingly fall to 5. Also hard to feel bad for the leftover of Bamba or Porter.

I just can't see J3 going before Bamba in any scenario.
I believe in Trae Young myself and it wouldn't surprise me if hes a stud.

That would be great and my hope too but I'm not sure Atlanta would want Bagley with Collins and Memphis might be sick of dealing with injuries and may not want to risk it with Porter.
I still think our choice will be between Porter and JJJ.

Yeah, Sac could shake things up by taking Bagley.
Hell, I'm wondering if they might take Porter or Bamba the way they are rising.

Yea very good chance of that, and at least that's a easy choice for me.

Bagley does make some sense for Sac as he would be a nice fit with WCS but I don't see Doncic getting past Memphis.
I suppose there is a decent chance Sac could take Bagley and Atlanta take Doncic leaving Bamba, Porter and JJJ for Memphis.
In that scenario Porter would be their best choice imo if they are still in win-now mode.

Lottery balls not going in our favor is getting incredibly more annoying with each day that Bamba makes more headlines. Pretty sure Bamba won't make it #5. Ayton, Doncic and him will probably go #1 - #3 in some order.

Meh there is still J3 (love this name, thanks!), MPJ, and Bagley. We are in a great place.

draftnet is a complete joke these days.

I don't think Luka is going top three... I think he is there at 4 and absolutely gone by 5. The narrative at this point is Ayton #1 --- Bagley, Bamba, Porter Jr, Jackson Jr., Trae Young in some order. at 2-3. I think Memphis is first one at Luka.

That is not crazy -- I was told Kings very high on Bamba at the Combine, but since then heard have Porter Jr and Bagley may be higher on their board. If he went 2, I wouldn't be surprised.

#Missouri forward Michael Porter, Jr. really helped himself with a sensational private workout, sources say. Displayed the bevy of offensive tools that made him the No. 1 HS player in the country. As long as medicals check out, he will be one of the draft’s most coveted prizes.

They are the least reliable of all the mock drafts historically, but dammmnnn. I'd love if we had these guys to choose from at 5.
