Chuck, Chuck, Chuck. Back to being great these past 3 episodes.
although, one gripe about last night's show. He flashes on how to throw a discus, then proceeds to throw it like a frisbee. As a former discus thrower (who only did it cause his basketball coach made the team join the track team in the offseason - my discus achievements are basically that I never came in last place), I can say that that was highly inaccurate!

Anything with Kristen Kruek is really good..
well.. except for Street Fighter: Chun Li. But I forgive her.

It's holding it's own and doing "so-so."
It's on against House, and the monstrous CBS comedies (which actually BEAT House last week) so, they're coming in third or fourth, but they're pretty respectable ratings from what I've read, and strong in the demo (18-49)
It's right now considered to be somewhat favorable for renewal, but it's early yet. I'm going to just enjoy these 19 episodes for whatever they're worth.
It's been very good so far.

I don't remember if I've discussed this yet, but on that note I think HOUSE is incredibly overrated. Still a very good show, if only because of Hugh Laurie, but probably the most overrated show on TV. Hugh Laurie is amazing, but other than that I find it quite average.

We're hoping to watch two Fringe's tonight and get caught up.
I'm still trying to get around to starting "Caprica", the BSG spin off.
HIMYM was great this week, even though Jim Nantz was on it.

Any Barny-centric espisode is going to be great. That's one of the best characters on TV...I don't even think about the fact that he's gay anymore.

Barney is obviously not gay. He's slept with like 200 women!

Agreed. It's not as popular as it should be, probably because the whole premise turns off non-football fans. It's a shame because it really is a great show filled with interesting characters. The football is almost secondary. Looking forward to catching the latest season when it makes it's way to NBC.

i agree, dirno - can't wait til it starts running on NBC. I know there are ways to have seen it by now, but i prefer to watch it in HD on my big screen.

Chuck turned out its worst episode of the year, perhaps ever. Everyone acted out of character...I'll be honest, I'm a little worried about its ratings coming back from the Olympics. It didn't really leave with a cliffhanger, just a sour taste in the mouth. Not the taste that makes you want to come back for more...especially after a 3 week layoff.

The last 5 minutes of Heroes was better than the whole season combined.
I thought the show wasn't getting renewed. I was about to say "good riddance." Now I am a little intrigued about what is going to happen.

i didn't have a problem with Chuck either, aside from the Cheesy guys-in-dark-shadows ending.
I just feel bad that Casey never gets a romantic interest. He does have his weapons, though...

Yeah my wife and I rolled our eyes a little at "the ring" too, but it's that kind of show, isn't it?
It's not like Chuck is a show that takes itself very seriously. I'm ok with it.

Really? I'm surprised. Everything seemed so out of character in this episode. Sarah immediately falling for Shaw and admitting it after 2 seasons of denial with Chuck. And Chuck, despite saying just a few episodes earlier that he loved Sarah, to turn around, give up his girl, and move on to what appears to be just a fancy. Jill kinda made sense, because they had previous chemistry. Hannah/KK doesn't make any sense at all.
Now don't get me wrong, I know this is just a building block for the end of the arc, and I know Shaw/Hannah are not permanent fixtures, but this episode just didn't work for me. Especially being the last episode before a 3 week layoff.
Worst episode of the show was an overreaction. This was still my least favorite of the season, though. And don't get me wrong, I'll be in my seat prompt at 7 the next time Chuck is on. Just didn't like this one epi.

See, i don't think it was out of character at all. If i were a spy with the CIA, i'd be doing all i could to sign up for a job with Sarah. She has a history of falling for people she works with (Bryce, Chuck, the British agent, now Shaw).
As for Chuck, he's had 3 non-Sarah girlfriends/love interests throughout the show. Jill, Rachel Bilson, now Hannah.
Damn, and i forgot they did have one episode about a former flame of Casey's.

well... since he IS the show, isn't that a bit like saying: "I think sex is over-rated, except for all the, you know, sex and stuff..."

I have been extremely busy and am at least a week behind on every single show I watch.
However, The Pacific starts this Sunday, and I will absolutely make time to watch each episode of that before the next one airs.

The Office was really quite good this week.
Maybe it's just because my wife and I just did the whole baby/hospital thing, but I really enjoyed that.

White Collar has me hooked. Sometimes their plots/plans strike me as a tad contrived, but the acting is superb.

I have that lined up to watch from the beginning. My dad really likes it but I haven't caught on with it yet.

Contrary to others opinions on this board, I feel Chuck has been pretty predictable and boring. It follows pretty much the same script every week. The waiting to flash stuff is starting to annoy the heck out of me.
And wtf Casey going rogue? If that is true, it is pretty retarded. Chuck & the intersect seemed like such a big deal, why didn't the Ring just contact him earlier. They could have gotten the intersect easily and taken over the world by now.

There is not a single thing about House that hovers anywhere near "average," except maybe the occasional subpar episodic character.

I know where you're coming from, but you're wrong. It is a tremendous show only because of Laurie..but that doesn't make it any less tremendous.
