Totally agree. He's worthless as a player. Just put him on the coaching staff and be done with it.

I've been as harsh a critic of Maxi as anyone recently, but he was absolutely awesome on defense in this game. If he can give us even close to that going forward, I'm happy. Until Lively comes back, when Gafford is on the bench, just go small and have Maxi at the 5.

wow that's an amazing stat - beginning of the year who would have thought that'd be a possibility given our roster?

Also agree that at least for this game, Maxi was really on it with his defense and even hit a couple shots. Hope he can provide that more consistently moving forward.

Here's to hoping that PJ's shooting from 3 continues to improve. Even hitting at average would provide so much for this team.

Remember Trayce-Jackson Davis? Another good reminder that the draft is this weird thing where players can only be drafted in certain areas of the draft no matter how talented they are. How he was overlooked by teams will go down as a mystery.

clippers have recovered briefly. won 4 of their last 5 including the nuggets last night in crunch time. jury is out on kawhi's injury though.

2 of those wins - should have been losses as confirmed by last 2 minute reports.

Of all of our potential matchups in round 1, the Clippers are the most favorable to us, I think. I have ZERO fear of the Clippers. A: I don't think they're that good, and B: Does anyone need a reminder of what happens when Luka plays the Clippers? In the playoffs especially? Luka loves playing the Clippers and seems to take sadistic, nearly psychotic pleasure in tearing their hearts out. He took them to six and seven games respectively, with mediocre supporting casts that weren't a fraction as good as this one.

Honestly the only team that I think is unequivocally better than the Mavs is the Nuggets. The Thunder and Wolves don't scare me at all.

I mean, it seems like every single game he's listed as "questionable" with "soreness," he goes off for like a 50 point triple double or something equally amazing. It's a running joke on r/mavericks that "questionable" Luka is actually better than healthy Luka.

In all seriousness though, yeah I would like to see Luka rest a bit too and heal up his legs, but considering how much is at stake with every single win, I don't see the Mavs doing that. As long as he's medically cleared to play, he'll play.
